Invincible: Will Prime Video release a new episode tonight, November 30?

Will there be a new episode of Invincible tonight on Amazon Prime Video? 

Season 2 of Invincible was highly anticipated. Thankfully, the show’s return didn’t disappoint fans. If you only know the project as a show, every episode was as good as you’d want it to be. If you’ve read the source material, you were given more than a few surprises in the first four episodes. Among them was Allen the Allen possibly being killed by Thaedus. No matter what side you fall on, Amazon Prime has continued its trend of amazing, animated comic book projects.

Initially, season 2 of Invincible was going to premiere with four episodes. Then, it would continue with weekly releases until the eighth episode. That would have ended the show until the third season (who knows when that would be released). Unfortunately, circumstances changed things. Season 2 of Invincible won’t continue tonight. In fact, it looks like we won’t see what happens to Mark Grayson, Omni-Man, and Angstrom Levy until 2024.

What’s next for Invincible?

It’s a shame that the show won’t return any time soon. Seeing Omni-Man carted away by the Viltrumites was a heck of a cliffhanger. Nolan’s people aren’t known for their compassion. Even when it comes to their own. While this writer would like to say Omni-Man will escape their wrath, this isn’t the comic book series.

A lot of things have changed from the source material and that’s going to continue. That could include what’s next for Omni-Man. Allen’s possible demise (episode 3) throws the entire story into chaos. He was crucial to everything from Nolan’s escaping to the future of Mark and his brother.

Since this is a show, it makes sense that moments would differ from the comic book. Sometimes things that happen in the comics won’t work for a show. For now, we’ll all have to wait until the Invincible returns to find out what’s altered next.
