2024 will bring plenty of exciting things to the world of entertainment, but these TV shows unfortunately won’t be a part of the fun.

What a year 2024 will be for the pop-culture landscape. Marvel Studios will seek to reassert its dominance over the streaming game with new shows such as Agatha: Darkhold Diaries and the first ever TV-MA series set within the MCU in Echo. Warner Bros. may be holding back on DC releases (as James Gunn and Peter Safran build their DC Universe), but one we can expect is the return of the Clown Prince of Crime as Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga team up in Joker: Folie à Deux.

That said, there will be some major players absent from the TV landscape next year. For starters, this year saw plenty of long-running and beloved shows come to an end, while the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes may have resulted in the cancellation of some projects that were yet to be renewed at the time.  And then there are those that will be back in the future, but just not as soon as you’re hoping they will be (and their releases will likely roll over to 2025 as a result).

Taking that into account, for one reason or another, these TV shows won’t be back on our screens in 2024.
