The Undertaker

The Undertaker retired from active competition in 2020. And yet the rumors of one more match continue to circulate the internet at least twice or three times per year – especially at WrestleMania season.

The Man From The Dark Side is the greatest WWE superstar of all time. There’s no question about it; he’s enjoyed an incredibly successful career, taking on all-comers, innovating several big time match stipulations, and defeating all of the greats throughout his three decades of competition.

But it has been three decades. Three decades of gruelling matches and career-defining stunts. He has more than earned his retirement, and he is making the most of it, even opening up about his career in a way that he could never do when he was portraying his Deadman character. He has given everything he has to WWE and now it’s his time to relax and enjoy his life.

Theoretically, The Deadman could have continued to wrestle squash matches for many more years to come, but the man himself recently revealed that he had hung up his hat and coat for good, confirming that the character had retired along with him.

While we’re not ruling out another Undertaker cameo as the American Badass on NXT (or maybe even on a special edition of Raw or SmackDown), don’t be expecting to see The Phenom step back into the ring for another match.
