The trailer for Insomniac's long-awaited video game Marvel's Wolverine was more than anyone could have hoped for. The blood, and claws, and the appearances of familiar faces showed us all that this is the game that X-Men fans want and need. And since this is produced by Insomniac Games, we can expect creativity from the action and probably a lot of different skins for Logan to wear.
Whether you’re playing Spider-Man or Ratchet and Clank, you know that you’ll be able to change the way you look. In Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker and Miles Morales have dozens of costume options, and that’s not including the suits with the option of changing the color.
When it comes to Wolverine, there should be just as many options as there have been in the PlayStation Spider-Man games. It wouldn’t be shocking if there were more, since Logan doesn’t need to hide his identity.
With that in mind, this article will discuss the options that should appear and why they are (or aren’t) good choices for the game.
Brown and orange
Marvel Comics fans have a special place in their heart for this costume, and so does Logan. It seems to be the one he always goes back to and adds something new to it each time. It was also worn when he fought the Hulk. It wouldn’t be a surprise if this came with Wolverine when you preorder the game.
X-Force
This could be the most popular one because it looks the coolest. The grey and black make this a great stealth suit, but the red eyes complete it. It adds a more vicious appearance to the character. Plus, Logan's time with X-Force was one of his most popular runs.
Age of Apocalypse
The Age of Apocalypse look has basic colors, but that isn’t why it should be used. It’s the wild hair and missing hand that tie it all together.
Apocalypse
During Rick Remender’s Uncanny X-Force, X-Force went to the Age of Apocalypse, and this universe’s Logan was Apocalypse. If this writer is being honest, this one wouldn't be needed in the Wolverine game. The moment was different, and the look was cool to see, but the costume is kind of bland for a video game.

Deadpool and Wolverine
The suit that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine wore in Deadpool and Wolverine is more than the standard Wolverine yellow and blue, so it would be cool to see in the video game. There could also be some awesome variations of it to match the events of the movie: He could have long sleeves or no shirt. Plus, the way the animators get into detail, the fabric would look different, as would the stripes on the side.
No healing
When Logan lost his healing factor, the Superior Spider-Man made him armor. As much as I detested Logan not having his accelerated healing, this was one of his coolest-looking outfits.
This one is a must for the video game. Maybe there could be a bonus that you can't heal when wearing this, but take less damage.
Weapon X
When this writer says Weapon X, he means the one when he was running around as a wild man with the giant helmet and tech covering his naughty bits. It’s a classic and will likely be available in the game. Most likely after you relive this moment in Logan’s life.
Fantastic Four
Spider-Man had his Fantastic Four costume in his game, so it’s only right that Logan has his. The only question is whether he’ll have a four in the middle of his chest or an X.
Leather
I may not have been a fan of Wolverine's all-black leather in the Fox X-Men movies, but people may have liked this outfit over the years. Including it in the game would be a callback to the first batch of movies and when it was adopted in the comics.
New mostly yellow costume
After Krakoa, Wolverine went away from the orange and yellow to his classic yellow and blue. However, this version had less blue with the shoulder pads being more square than usual. We could see this one in the game but, again, it isn’t necessary since there’s already a yellow version.
X Deaths of Wolverine
Logan’s cybernetic look with the all-black costume is beautiful. Like other skins like this, maybe the electronics would move along the suit.
Team X
If Wolverine fights Omega Red, beating him should come with the military uniform he wore on the mission during the comics. It only makes sense that we see this one in the game.

PlayStation exclusive
You can expect something fun and interesting from the creators of this game. I have no clue what they’ll do, but you can bet it will be cool. It may not be dramatic since they went for a subtle approach with Peter Parker’s PlayStation uniform.
Patch
How this passes as a disguise is beyond me, but it’s still a must. You gotta have Logan in a suit with the eye patch. Look for this to be usable after going “undercover” in Madripoor.
Hugh Jackman pulled it off in Deadpool and Wolverine, so you can bet the video game version will do the same.
Winter Soldier
It's the mask on top of the star in the middle of his chest. The Winter Soldier iteration of Wolverine is easily Logan's most unique look in years. There is no way that this one won’t be an option when it comes to alternate suits.
Ultimate Wolverine
The costumes in Ultimate X-Men were very uniform, but not bad. Something as simple as their dark blue with hints of yellow would be a hit with gamers, because sometimes simplicity is the answer.
Captain Canada
Does Logan need this costume? Absolutely not. Would it look clean and cool until he starts bleeding all over it? Yes. Yes it would.
Feral
Remember when Wolverine had the adamantium ripped from his bones and later looked more animal than man and wore a durag? Pepperidge Farm remembers, and so will Insomniac Games.
Horseman Death
Wolverine as a Horseman of Apocalypse was terrifying in concept and look. He was completely covered and used a giant sword. If this suit is added to Insomniac's Wolverine, I wonder if they'll use the headdress or keep his face uncovered.
Adamantium Armor
It’s bright, shiny, and unbreakable. This wouldn’t be a must for the game because it’s too close to the X-Force costume. But, if it comes with a bonus of taking little to no damage, bring it on!
Old Man Logan
This would be Logan with the long, brown coat, red shirt, cowboy hat, and grey hair. Maybe even give him a horse instead of a motorcycle just for kicks. Regardless, fans need the Old Man Logan skin. It's one of his most iconic looks and that means that it must be available for fans in the video game.
Wolverine No. 1
Last because it was the first, we're throwing it all the way back to Wolverine No. 1 for this one. When Logan got his first solo comic book, he was in all black with a black streak across his face. It may not be well-liked, but you gotta add it.
