Within the massive cast of Avengers: Doomsday, there are some really exciting potential pairings to look forward to. The most recent trailer for Avengers: Doomsday features a fun moment of M'Baku and The Thing meeting, reminding us that one of the best aspects of this shared universe is seeing some of these iconic characters simply sharing the screen.
Avengers: Doomsday could feature a lot of exciting reunions, like seeing Professor X and Magneto together again or Thor reuniting with Loki. However, there are also a lot of pairings we have never seen before that could make for the most interesting and memorable moments in the massive team-up.

Steve Rogers and John Walker
The return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers is certainly one of the biggest reveals so far in Avengers: Doomsday. While there are many fans who are still unsure if bringing the character back was the right move, having Steve in another Avengers movie is certainly exciting.
However, it is not his old friends like Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson who we're most excited to see Steve interacting with, but rather the guy who first took over his mantle. John Walker has become a terrific, flawed hero in the MCU, and it would be very interesting to see him meet the man he was trying to be, as well as see Steve react to how poorly he fared in the job.

Thor and Red Guardian
One of the best things about these random characters meeting is seeing which characters make great comedic teams. Out of all the new characters who might meet, Thor and Red Guardian feel like they will deliver the most laughs together. It's also possible they will become best friends.
Thor's Avengers: Doomsday trailer suggests this will be a more serious Thor than we've seen lately. However, that doesn't mean he has to be devoid of humor, and Red Guardian can bring it out of him. He is a hero who would very much embrace Thor's Viking mentality and share his love of glory on the battlefield.

Sue Storm and Namor
While the MCU does not always follow the comic books, seeing some fan-favorite aspects brought to life is always fun. One such opportunity comes with the meeting of Sue Storm and Namor, as the Sub-Mariner falls in love with The Invisible Woman in the comics. And he doesn't care that Reed Richards knows it.
It is not likely Avengers: Doomsday is going to have much time to spend on love triangles, but it would be great to see hints at this one. Given that he was a full-blown villain in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, it will certainly be hard for Namor to play well with others, but Sue could help with that.

Reed Richards and Doctor Doom
Seeing Robert Downey Jr.'s take on Doctor Doom is one of the most exciting aspects of Avengers: Doomsday. However, with all these heroes facing off with the formidable villain, we hope the movie doesn't lose sight of the origins of Doom as a character and which characters he is most linked to.
Doctor Doom is a Fantastic Four villain with long ties to Reed Richards. With some of the bigger and more established heroes coming into the movie, hopefully, Doom and Reed still get a chance to form an adversarial relationship that remains at the center of the movie. It would also be fun to see Downey Jr. and Pedro Pascal facing off.
