Season 4 of Invincible on Prime Video (which debuts on March 18, 2026) will cover volume 13 (Growing Pains) and some of volume 14 (Viltrumite War) of the comic book series. If you know the source material, you’re aware that this is the midway point of the show and that some major things happen to Mark (Invincible), Eve (Atom Eve), Omni-Man, and Debbie Grayson.

If you need a refresher of what’s about to happen or never read the series and want to know what’s coming, this article is for you. Let’s start with something that was seen in the trailer.

1. Dinosaurus’ plans

Invincible meeting Dinosaurus is one of the most important moments in Mark’s life because it leads him to look at the world differently. Eventually, it turns into him allowing Dinosaurus to do something so disastrous that Cecil compares it to one of the most horrendous things that happened in history. But it all starts with their first fight.

2. The Sequids attack Earth

The Sequids attack Earth, but Robot (now going by Rex) has a plan to contain the spread. All he needs is time. Sadly, after seeing how not killing Angstrom Levy led to millions being killed, Invincible doesn’t hesitate to kill the Sequids' host. At first, it doesn’t look like Mark cares, but later, we see that all of the killing is getting to him.

3. Omni-Man and Allen’s excellent adventure

While things are crazy on Earth, Allen the Alien and Nolan (Omni-Man) are searching for things that can help them defeat the Viltrumites. It takes them to various parts of the galaxy, where they interact with some weird and dangerous beings. This will be one of the few lighthearted moments in the season, so enjoy it while it lasts.

4. Mark Kills Conquest

Once the Viltrumite War begins, Invincible goes right after Conquest. Now that he’s stronger, faster, and has rage from killing Eve, Mark has the Viltrumite rage that gives him a much-needed edge. Sadly, it comes at a cost. Invincible is almost killed while choking the life out of Conquest.

One good thing came out of this. While Mark healed, Nolan and his son, Oliver, spent time together. It was the first opportunity they’ve had to bond since he was born, and they used this time wisely. Once Invincible healed, they rejoined the fight and turned the tide.

5. Powerplex's moment of clarity

Eventually, Scott Duvall (Powerplex) gets a chance to redeem himself by joining a superhero team. Unfortunately, he still can’t get over his hatred of Invincible. Later, he gets another opportunity to fight Mark, and it doesn’t go Scott’s way. Mark doesn't fight him. Instead, he reminds Powerplex that he (Scott) put his partner and child in harm’s way. That was enough for Scott to understand what revenge cost him.

This moment doesn’t happen during Growing Pains or Viltrumite War. However, the show has changed when moments happen to move the story along. It wouldn’t be shocking if it occurred this season to show Mark’s growth as a hero. It will be needed after viewers see him get more aggressive than ever.

6. Robot and Monster Girl's interdimensional journey

The Flaxan’s continuous attempt to take over the world gets to the point where Robot and Monster Girl decide to go to their dimension to stop them for good. The problem with that is that time moves differently there. While it doesn’t seem like a big deal at first, this is when everything for Rex changes.

7. Back in black and yellow

Invincible has a moment of clarity after almost killing Titan (luckily, Cecil appeared). Later, Mark goes to Arthur Rosenbaum and laments about how violent he’s become. Among the things Mark says is that he can’t look at himself in the mirror. Arthur suggests that if he likes the man he used to be, he should look the part. That was enough for Mark to understand that it was time to go back to his original Invincible uniform. Plus, it was right on time because Omni-Man appeared to tell him it was time to leave for the Viltrumite War.
