At the beginning of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' most recent episode, Prince Aerion Targaryen showed audiences his truly vile nature by killing a horse during his joust. Towards the end, it got worse as he tortured Tanselle for killing a fake dragon during her play. When Egg saw this, he ran to Ser Duncan the Tall and told him what was going on. Since he’s a man of honor, Dunk didn't hesitate in attacking Prince Aerion to stop his cruel behavior. Sadly, he was outnumbered. An insulted Aerion ordered his guards to hold him down so he can knock the teeth out of Ser Duncan's mouth.

Thankfully, before Duncan can have teeth knocked out of his mouth, Egg orders the guards (by name) to stop. This is when it’s finally revealed that Egg is actually Prince Aerion Targaryen’s younger brother.

What to expect in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms episode 4

Egg being a Targaryen may have been one of the worst-kept secrets in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, but it didn't make the reveal any less intense. As you can see from the trailer above, things will be even more intense when Egg and Duncan talk about why he lied.

Also in the trailer, it's revealed that Aerion Targaryen requests the Trial of Seven. That means Duncan must find six other knights to fight by his side. Despite many in the kingdoms likely hating the Targaryens, and especially Aerion, it won’t be an easy task. Sadly, everyone knows that  Aerion is petty and will likely go after anyone who tries to help Ser Duncan. However, Ser Lyonel 'The Laughing Storm' Baratheon could be among the knights he recruits.

As a fan of Game of Thrones, I should have known that things were about to get bleak. Sure, episode 3 had some funny moments, but, as you see, it doesn't stay that way. And since we are officially past the halfway point, that means things are going to get darker. Stay tuned to Bam Smack Pow to find out what that means.
