The world can't stop talking about Agatha All Along. Ever since the Marvel Television series made its presence felt on screens in the spooky season of last year, audiences all over the world have fallen in love all over again with Kathryn Hahn's bewitching Agatha Harkness. And this time, they also fell for her charming, dysfunctional coven as they took us all on a journey down, down, down the Witches' Road.

The WandaVision spinoff series was always destined to generate buzz, but it took it to a whole new level, turning the conversation surrounding Marvel's Disney Plus shows around and reinvigorating the franchise. The critical acclaim and level of devotion from fans was similar to the good old WandaVision days, and that was a win that the Marvel Cinematic Universe needed.

It also brought Marvel Studios back to the Golden Globes, as Hahn herself received a nomination for her performance. Her appearance at the event brought forth some potentially promising updates about the show's future.

Kathryn Hahn isn't done playing Agatha Harkness

Kathryn Hahn walked the red carpet ahead of the 82nd-annual Golden Globes ceremony and chatted to a number of press outlets about her history-making nomination for Best Female TV Actor in a Comedy Series. Although the actress unfortunately did not win for her stunning performance as Agatha Harkness, the fact that she earned Marvel a rare awards nomination is more of a testament to the strength of her performance than anything else.

She spoke about the potential of a second season of Agatha All Along, which has fans wondering if it might happen after all. Marvel understandably had fans all excited when they submitted the show for the comedy TV series categories at the awards ceremonies instead of Limited Series, which is something Hahn admits that she was also surprised by. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the star discussed how unexpected that decision was when asked about whether that could signify a potential second season, adding:

“That is a great question. None of us know. But… our ears are perked up for sure.”

Her ears aren't the only ones that perked up, as fans are convinced that the decision to nominate Agatha for an ongoing series category may be a quiet confirmation that there are plans to bring the show back for another round. It's hard to argue with that given its success.

Agatha All Along was the cheapest Marvel Studios series thus far and it managed to prove itself a ratings success for the streamer, bringing in 9 million viewers within its first week of release and its daily premiere numbers growing throughout the final few weeks of its run as it headed towards its finale. And due to that success, reports are now claiming that Marvel is keen on renewing the show for a second season - a stark contrast to how committed all were to the idea of this being a limited series last year.

Irrespective of whether that happens or not, Hahn is determined to continue playing Agatha Harkness for however long she can. In an interview with TVLine on the red carpet of the Golden Globes, she reiterated that she isn't sure what Marvel has planned for the show, but agreed that the category she was nominated in "does suggest" that there will be more seasons. She also added that she intends to continue playing the role "personally".

"Am I personally done with playing this witch? No."

The belief is that we will see Agatha Harkness reappear at some point in the near-future, especially as she has now become the mentor of Billy Maximoff, a.k.a. Wiccan, a.k.a. Teen, in the afterlife. And that could very well take place in a second season of her own show, it seems.

Insider Daniel Richtman has revealed that, although Marvel has not yet officially greenlit Agatha All Along season 2, it is close to doing so. Meanwhile, other scoopers have claimed that the studio will be producing a sequel series focused on Wiccan, in which Agatha will play a supporting role. Insider Alex Perez says that those projects are one and the same.

Hahn's comments at the Golden Globes are simply the most recent in a long line of positive comments about the future of both Agatha Harkness and her own series. Here's hoping that they come to life and that Agatha All Along returns to screens in the near-future for another round of witchy fun.
