They say a hero is only as good as its villain, and perhaps that's one of the biggest reasons why Daredevil has had a successful live-action journey so far (without taking into account the 2003 movie, that is).
When Charlie Cox first took on the role of the Man Without Fear, he acted opposite Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk, and the chemistry between the two instantly became one of the highlights of Marvel television as a whole. The only season in which the iconic villain has been sidelined in favor of The Hand is considered the weakest among fans—a mistake that was short-lived as Kingpin has since returned as a major antagonistic force, along with other iconic bad guys. But the very best part? It appears the streak won't end any time soon.
Daredevil: Born Again lit the flame of conflict between the Devil of Hell's Kitchen and Kingpin once again. Furthermore, it also added a new terrifying character into the mix, courtesy of Muse, who had every chance of becoming a fan-favorite had it not been for his incredibly reduced screentime. Coupled with Bullseye's return and Vanessa Fisk's rise to power, Matt had no shortage of obstacles on his way. Fortunately for us, more trouble will be on its way, as an iconic villain will return for the second season of Born Again and beyond.
Bullseye is conifmred to appear in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3
During Spacecon San Antonio 2025, Wilson Bethel confirmed that Bullseye will keep haunting Matt Murdock during the third season of Daredevil: Born Again by stating: "As some of you might know, we've already got picked up for (...) a new season that we will start doing next year. Over the top of Daredevil, we'll have more Bullseye on the way, and Kingpin, and all the rest, and some other fun additions as well".

Wilson Bethel first debuted as Benjamin Poindexter during the third season of Netflix's Daredevil, and instantly became one of the most iconic supervillains on the small screen. As such, fans were eager to see him wreak havoc in the Marvel Cinematic Universe courtesy of Daredevil: Born Again, and while that wish became partially true, it's also hard to deny that he didn't have the biggest of participations, as he only appeared in three out of nine episodes.
At this point, it's well-known that Daredevil: Born Again was initially intended to be a complete reboot that would've ignored the story that was developed in the Netflix adaptation. It wasn't until a new creative team took over mid-production that it was decided that everything fans had seen before would be acknowledged. Unfortunately, most of the initial material was already filmed, and the new team only had the chance of creating three episodes from scratch—the very same ones in which Bullseye made an appearance.
It's undeniable that Bullseye left his mark on Born Again despite the series' shortcomings (as he only needed one bullet to break our collective hearts). Fortunately, we can expect him to steal even more of the spotlight in both the second and third seasons of the show. The new creative team has complete control moving forward, meaning fans will see even more connections to the Netflix adaptation, as well as more ruthless fight scenes. Wilson Bethel even went as far as stating that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will have the "coolest Bullseye fight sequence" yet.
The future is looking bright for Benjamin Pointdexter, which means a dark path awaits the Man Without Fear. Fortunately, it won't be long before we find out how big a role Bullseye will have, and whether his rivalry with Daredevil will grow even further.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will be released on March 4 on Disney+.
