4 characters Sadie Sink could play in Spider-Man 4 (1 she shouldn't)

Sadie Silk was cast to play a character in the upcoming Spider-Man 4 movie, but we don’t know who she’ll be. Here are some good options and one of them she should stay away from.

It was recently revealed that Stranger Things star Sadie Sink has been cast in an unconfirmed Spider-Man 4 role.

A lot of people might see that and say she should play Mary Jane Watson; she has the red hair and, even though the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Peter Parker has an MJ (played by Zendaya), that character's name is Michelle Jones-Watson). And yet, although Sink would do a great job as the comic book version of Mary Jane Watson, it shouldn’t happen. Zendaya is the MJ people want to see in the MCU so let’s leave it at that. Thus, if Sink is going to play any of Peter Parker’s love interests, she should portray Gwen Stacy

The working title is tied to Blue Oasis and it connects to Gwen Stacy (read Spider-Man: Blue for that story). Even if that isn’t the case, there are a lot of women in Peter Parker’s life that aren’t love interests. Some of them hate him as a civilian and Spidey. This article will highlight some of the characters that Sadie Sink can play and others she shouldn’t.

Yes: Black Cat

Felicia Hardy is my favorite Spider-Man love interest because, like Mary Jane, she’s more than his girlfriend. Not only does Black Cat never hesitate to call Peter out on his hypocrisy and nonsense, but she also brings a fun side out of him. Spidey makes jokes, but that’s a fighting tactic and a defense mechanism. He’s genuinely happy and looser when she’s around.

Sadie Sink isn’t a stranger to action roles, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to see her play New York’s premier cat burglar. It will also lead to her being seen as more than just someone playing a teenager. Having her branch out to play different characters is a win for her and her fans.

Maybe: Jessica Drew

The funny thing about Jessica Drew being part of the Great Web is that she has no connection to Peter Parker. She got her powers independently and is a lot older than him in the comics. Since this isn’t the comics, they could be linked.

As long as she maintains the same attitude as the comics. The only negative is if she looks too young to play a spy. Yes, I’m aware of how I contradicted myself. However, like it was said in Indiana Jones, it isn’t the years, it’s the miles. And being a spy ages you like an avocado in the sun.

No: Screwball

I’d love to see Screwball in a Spider-Man movie. She's wild, entertaining, and hits on people's obsession with social media. Nevertheless, this is too small of a part for Sadie Sink. If she's going to play a villain it should be someone with a major storyline. And that brings us to the next option and it’s a yes for them.

Yes: Silver Sable

Silver Sable doesn’t need to be a veteran mercenary in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She has to start somewhere and what better way to make a name for yourself than fighting the Amazing Spider-Man?

Sadie could play a young Silver Sable who's mourning the death of her father and needs a big win for her family’s company and legacy. Playing her leaves room for Peter Parker’s storyline without removing the plot of his superhero life. It helps that Sable was in the PS4 Spider-Man DLC meaning she could be a well-known antagonist.

Yes: Firestar

If Marvel Studios is still making connections to mutants in the MCU, using Firestar is a good choice. Sadie can keep her red hair (she’s known for it) and it allows another link to the X-Men. It also helps that this isn’t just a random member of the X-Men (she joined during the second Hellfire Gala).

She was part of a popular Spider-Man cartoon and was an Avenger. Playing her could lead to parts in an X-Men project or version of the Avengers leading to job security and who wouldn't love that?
