Charlie Cox is officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For people who watched 2015's Daredevil on Netflix, that was never in question (especially given the subtle hints and references to the Battle of New York), but it became official last year when Disney Plus series Echo confirmed that the versions of Cox's Daredevil and Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin we recently met in the MCU are indeed the same versions as their Netflix predecessors.

It all came to fruition in this year's Daredevil: Born Again when Cox, D'Onofrio, and their Daredevil co-stars all returned for new adventures in the MCU. As fans had longed for this to be official, Born Again was a moment a decade in the making. And to say it delivered would be an understatement.

Now, as an official member of the MCU, Cox has been watching some of the franchise's other titles - one in particular for an interview he was going to do. And he has now revealed that he thinks it is "fantastic".

Charlie Cox thinks Agatha All Along is a really great example of Marvel Television

Charlie Cox is a fan of Agatha All Along. The Daredevil star sat down with Agatha's Joe Locke as part of Variety's Actors on Actors interviews to discuss their respective Marvel properties and he was full of praise for his MCU colleague - as well as the show that he starred in. Talking to Locke, Cox said:

"Agatha was fantastic. A really great example of Marvel Television getting it right."

This is undoubtedly a huge vote of confidence from a Marvel veteran like Cox, especially when Daredevil is so tonally different to Agatha All Along, but it's true for the MCU's spooky season spectacular really took the world by storm in the build-up to Halloween last year.

Starring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, Agatha is a spinoff series to the Emmy-winning WandaVision and it saw the ancient witch assemble a coven to walk the Witches' Road in the hopes of regaining her power at the end. It featured an episodic approach that truly allowed it to function as a TV series (and not a multi-part movie) while also adding to the story of the overall MCU.

Response was extremely positive, with Hahn earning herself a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in the titular role. Viewership also started strong and increased significantly throughout the show's run, with Variety subsequently revealing that it landed as the ninth most watched TV show among adults in that crucial 18-49 demographic in the US last season. Considering that Agatha wasn't a well-known mainstream Marvel Comics character and that show had the smallest budget of any Marvel Television show, this was a huge win for Disney Plus.

Agatha really surprised people and the overwhelmingly positive response to it is just one of the many examples of that. Cox's words simply echo that, as well as the praise for Locke's performance as Teen, because - just as he said - the central big twist revolving around that character was one of the most pivotal TV moments of last year and a very effective reveal.

Agatha All Along and Daredevil: Born Again are both now streaming on Disney Plus.
