It's been a long time coming, but the wait is nearly over. Yes, Matt Murdock is set to headline his own series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as Daredevil: Born Again arrives on Disney Plus, bringing The Man Without Fear back to our screens on a more full-time basis. Charlie Cox reprises his role as the lawyer-turned-vigilante from the Netflix series of shows, as well as the MCU projects that he has appeared in thus far.
It goes without saying that this is one of the most eagerly anticipated shows of 2025, but that excitement for this series is about so much more than just this year. Fans have been waiting six years for new adventures starring the former Netflix hero and now he gets to headline his own project as an official part of the MCU.
If you are ready to dive into Hell's Kitchen for another adventure, here's everything you need to know about the first two episodes and when to expect them.

A long-awaited return for Marvel's Daredevil
Although Daredevil: Born Again will be the eleventh Marvel Studios series produced for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it has been the longest coming, with the show's arrival predating the MCU's Disney Plus days. Ever since Netflix cancelled Daredevil in 2018, fans have been longing for some kind of sequel or fourth season at some point down the line, and now they finally have it.
Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk made their official debuts in the MCU in separate titles in Christmas 2021, with Charlie Cox's hero showing up in a cameo appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Vincent D'Onofrio's villain debuting in Hawkeye. Both have appeared in other titles since, building up their eventual reunion on-screen in the new series.
But Daredevil: Born Again won't just act as an effective fourth season, it's a sequel set years down the line, catching us up with Matt, Foggy, Karen, Fisk, Vanessa, The Punisher, and Bullseye well after their Netflix adventures. Although Disney and Marvel Studios have more of a say over this one as part of the MCU, we shouldn't expect the violence of its predecessor to be missing here. Showrunner Dario Scardapane has insisted that he was never told to tone the violence and maturity down, suggesting we are in for a project every bit as thrilling - and perhaps terrifying - as its predecessor.

The series reunites Charlei Cox with Daredevil costars Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll, as the almighty Nelson Murdock and Page gang have a conversation outside Josie's. The show catches us up with them six years after they made the decision to start/restart their law firm and now we get to see that vision come together.
Speaking of visions coming together years later, Matt Murdock is back to donning the iconic devil horns after he dropped the suit in the third season of the original show. We knew that already because of his MCU appearances in She-HUlk: Attorney At Law and Echo but it still looks great to see him in the suit again.

It wouldn't be a Daredevil show without an epic showdown and, from the looks of the below still, we will get to see The Devil of Hell's Kitchen suited up for another stairway fight. The question is: Will this be one of those legendary one-shot fight scenes that were a staple of the Netflix series?

Fighting isn't the only old habit that Matt will be revisiting as - in what is undoubtedly the most publicized scene from the series at the moment - he will reunite with his longtime enemy Wilson Fisk over a cup of coffee (or maybe tea? Who knows!).
As the trailer revealed, Fisk will wonder why Matt is longer a vigilante while Matt has reservations about Fisk's new era as a political figure.

Is Daredevil right, and is the Kingpin still in there? It certainly looks like it in this extremely powerful still here.
