The premiere of Daredevil: Born Again was everything a Marvel Comics or TV fan could have wanted. It started with a quick look at what Foggy Nelson, Karen Page, and Matt Murdock were up to. It's been years since we've seen them so a quick recap was needed. Then the show got into the action with Daredevil fighting Bullseye after he shoots Foggy in the chest. Sadly, this ends with Foggy dying, Daredevil attempting to kill Bullseye, and Matt giving up being the Protector of Hell’s Kitchen.

The show fast forwards to a year later with Matt running a law firm with Kirsten McDuffie and the trial of Bullseye (real name Benjamin Leonard "Dex" Poindexter). Bullseye being found guilty was a gift, but that’s where the positivity stops because Wilson Fisk was later named Mayor of New York.

As expected, he didn’t change his crooked ways. He's already blackmailed the police commissioner and his shady ways won't stop there. He has the law on his side and his wife Vanessa has the criminal underworld under her control. That means there's nowhere to hide from him. And while he and Matt have an "understanding" Matt has more to lose than Wilson

What to expect in Daredevil: Born Again episode 3

While Matt Murdock was looking for proof that his client Hector Ayala (White Tiger) was innocent, he was attacked by two police officers. They planned to coerce (likely violently) the witness so they couldn’t prove their fellow officers were in the wrong.

During the fight (that Matt wins) it’s revealed that one of the officers has a Punisher tattoo. It’s unclear if Matt can detect ink on someone’s skin, if he can, then he’ll likely go and talk to The Punisher at some point and find out what he knows. Since Frank Castle was in the Daredevil: Born Again trailers, we’ll definitely see him soon. It’s only a matter of whether it’s sooner or later and how he reacts to upholders of the law using him as a symbol.

Seeing the Punisher will be great, but that’s a small part of the story. The biggest is the crooked cops. Sure, they’ve always been around and they’ll never go away. However, they're more dangerous with Wilson Fisk in office because they’ll have more freedom to wreak havoc in New York City. While Matt Murdock won’t let that slide, it won't happen without a lot of fights and bruises along the way.
