For the longest time, we all wondered whether the devil would return to Hell's Kitchen and make criminals pay for their bad deeds. Fortunately, that day finally came when Daredevil: Born Again was released to critical acclaim on Disney Plus. Matt Murdock, Karen Page, Frank Castle, Wilson Fisk, and Foggy Nelson all came back to the small screen after a long hiatus (ever so briefly in the latter's case). But even if their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut was more than welcome, things didn't quite feel like home.
Daredevil: Born Again was originally intended to be a brand new beginning for the Man Without Fear, completely separate from its Netflix predecessor. Granted, there was a creative reboot mid-production to ensure the story that began in 2015 was followed up on rather than being ignored. But by that point, enough material from the show's original vision had already been filmed that the result often felt disconnected from what came before it.
Fortunately, Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again will be completely made from scratch by the team that took the reins after the creative reboot, and they will make even more callbacks to the Netflix show, as revealed by new set photos.
Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will feature Fogwell's Gym and a church set
It was a striking change to watch our favorite blind lawyer live in a new apartment, work in a new firm, and operate outside of Hell's Kitchen during his latest MCU adventure. But more importantly, his religious struggles and boxing roots were nowhere to be seen. However, Matt Murdock will be going back to his roots next year.

A new Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 set picture reveals that Fogwell's Gym will be back—the very same place where Matt's father, Jack Murdock, had his last ever fight. However, its return might be due to a very unexpected reason. A poster spotted on set reveals that Wilson Fisk will participate in a charity fight against a boxer named Matterhorn. The same poster is seen outside of Fogwell's gym in a set video, hinting that the battle will take place in this iconic location.
As the video reveals, the mayor's event will be interrupted by a fight between Daredevil and Bullseye. So, putting all the pieces together, it seems that Benjamin Poindexter will learn about the fight and take the opportunity to hunt the man who turned him into a supervillain in the first place. However, the Man Without Fear will enter the picture to ensure that nobody gets fatally hurt.
A different set picture also reveals that a church set was built for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. This is not only an indication that we could see more of Matt's religious struggles (which were infamously missing in the first season of his MCU show), but perhaps a hint that Sister Maggie could make a comeback.
Matt's mother was introduced during the third season of the Netflix series, but she was nowhere to be seen during the Disney Plus revival. Her absence prompted fans to speculate about her whereabouts, as she wasn't even name-dropped unlike other characters. With a bit of luck, the upcoming batch of episodes will finally reveal what happened to her and whether she is still on good terms with Matt.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is shaping up to be a return to formula. Karen Page will have a bigger arc, Jessica Jones will make her long-awaited comeback, and now we have the confirmation that iconic locations from the Netflix series will also be back. With a bit of luck, the new episodes will not only honor what came before but also expand on its predecessor to give us the ultimate Daredevil story.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will be released in March 2026.
