When it comes to streaming services, Disney Plus is undoubtedly one of the most important. With an endless supply of animated and live-action Disney movies at its disposal, the entire Star Wars collection, and its Star feature for international viewers that allows them to watch some of the best TV shows on in the US. it's clear to see why it's so beloved by fans.

One of the other reasons for its success is that it houses all of the Marvel properties too, including the Marvel Cinematic Universe for which it produces original shows set in that universe. From WandaVision to Agatha All Along, it's all on Disney Plus for Marvel fans, and that's not even taking into account the programming that isn't set in the MCU!

Yes, Disney Plus is the home for all things Marvel, but as reported by The Direct, the streamer has now unfortunately confirmed that the end has arrived for one fan-favorite Marvel show. It's one that fans were upset about, but also one that they saw coming after its cancellation was essentially confirmed pretty recently.

Disney Plus releases final episodes of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, confirming the series is over

The final episodes of Marvel animated series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur have arrived on Disney Plus, as the streamer officially confirms that the run has come to an end. The platform made the announcement that the final 10 episodes of the show would be arriving this month, and now all of them have indeed made their way to the streaming service, meaning that fans can finish watching the series' bumper-sized second season.

It's unfortunate that the show had to end so early for sure, but at least now fans can actually enjoy the series' conclusion with what is essentially a mini third season in these 10 extra season 2 episodes.

If you don't have Disney Plus, however, you can watch the show weekly on the Disney Channel and Disney XD, with two new episodes airing each Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. ET. This is undoubtedly a smart way to ensure that fans get the chance to see those final episodes regardless of where they were watching it. It also just shows the series the respect that it deserves to ensure those last episodes make it to its whole audience.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur didn't have a very long run, but it quickly became a fan-favorite. Already renewed for a second season before its debut, it premiered on Disney Channel on February 10, 2023 and enjoyed a successful 16-episode run. It subsequently returned for its second season, which was initially planned to be 16 episodes too, but according to an insider, ten more episodes were produced as part of a potential third season until Disney decided not to proceed. Those are the ten episodes that were released on Disney Plus as part of the second season instead, closing out the show's run.

After rumors about the show's fate began swirling last year, Storyboard artist Sixiao Tang announced the end of the series on social media in October, telling fans that it will always hold a special place in their heart. Since then, fans had hoped that the show might be given another chance, but the release of the final episodes has unfortunately confirmed that Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur has officially come to an end.

The show's era may have been short, but wow was it a good one.
