Prior to the release of Avengers: Infinity War, audiences worldwide were already familiar with the Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of Thanos. After all, the Mad Titan had already appeared in the post-credits scenes of the first two Avengers movies and also terrorized us during the events of Guardians of the Galaxy. However, the same cannot be said for Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom, who is set to be the main villain of the Multiverse Saga and Avengers: Doomsday.

Part of the problem is that Kang the Conqueror was originally intended to be the one to steal the show. The multiversal villain's arc was even built up in Loki and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, but a sudden change in plans meant all that setup was for nothing. Now, all we have is a small tease of Victor von Doom courtesy of the post-credits scene of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. But after hiding in the shadows for a long time, we now have our closest look yet at the upcoming ruler of Battleworld.

Hasbro's Doctor Doom figure unveils a comic-book-accurate design for the villain

When it was announced that Robert Downey Jr. would come back to the MCU as Doctor Doom after portraying the role of Iron Man, fans couldn't help but be a little bit worried. After all, many suspected that Victor would simply be a multiversal variant of Tony Stark who decided to use his intelligence for evil. Many even believed that the villain's design would involve Iron Man's armor somehow, but fortunately, this isn't the case.

Hasbro has unveiled a new Doctor Doom figure as part of its Titan series, and the character closely resembles his comic book counterpart. From the green cloak all the way to the titanium mask, every element seems to be pulled straight from the source material.

Granted, as is the case with most figures, a lot of details have likely been left out. However, a key thing to notice is the designs in the clasps: one seems to depict a hammer, while the other is a star. These could be references to Thor and Captain Marvel, although it remains to be seen why Doom would have the heroes' logos on his suit. Could they be trophies of sorts, meant to represent that the villain already hunted those two characters in his universe?

Hasbro has also released the first look at its upcoming Human Torch, Thing, and Beast Titan figures. Furthermore, it has been reported that the toy company will also showcase a Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man figure at San Diego Comic-Con. This would suggest that we'll watch the iconic Marvel veteran take over the stage, or even appear in the Avengers: Doomsday trailer, prior to his figure reveal.

Marvel is all but confirmed to give us our first look at Doctor Doom in action in the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer. After all, the closed-doors trailer the superhero giant showcased at CinemaCon 2026 featured the ruler of Latveria fighting Thor and talking with Professor X. So, the day we get to see footage of Robert Downey Jr.'s Doom may finally be upon us. Until then, the film's tie-in merch and figures will have to do.

Avengers: Doomsday will be released on Dec. 18, 2026.
