They're back! The most chaotic creatures to ever grace the silver screen have returned, as Minions and Monsters looks to make its presence felt on moviegoers this summer. The little yellow creatures of the Despicable Me franchise now take center stage once again for what is already shaping up to be one of the biggest movies of July.

With that in mind, you can rest assured that a lot of people will be going out to movie theaters to see it and, like the rest of the films in that franchise, the Minions are undoubtedly going to leave audiences with a lot of questions. At the top of that list may well be: Does Minions and Monsters have a post-credits scene?

Post-credits scenes have become a part of the Hollywood landscape thanks to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and even the Despicable Me franchise has employed them. In this one, however, the answer is a bit more complicated. But the bottom line is: Stick around for a short while.

Minions and Monsters features mid-credits scenes but no post-credits scene at the end

If you're wondering whether you should stick around after the credits begin rolling on Minions and Monsters, then the answer is: Yes. The film features multiple, humorous mid-credits scenes that showcase the Minions themselves and offer some hilarious backstory on the film. However, that's where the fun ends for the movie as there are no post-credits scenes after the credits themselves.

Once the long main credits begin rolling up the screen, that's it; there are no scenes after them - meaning that you can leave the theater. Although given the quirky animations on the original credits sequence and the brilliant music that scores the main ones, it would be worth staying in your seat to the end just for the overall experience.

We'll not outright spoil the mid-credits sequences, but the whole thing is a collection of clips tied directly to both Minions and Monsters while also referencing elements from other movies in the franchise, including the Despicable Me films. It's a treat that fans of the film series are sure to enjoy, and it is appropriately chaotic given the characters that we are talking about here.

Minions and Monsters is, without a doubt, the most unique movie in the franchise thus far. Set in the 1920s during the Old Hollywood Era, it centers on three Minion actors, James, Henry, and Ed, who distance themselves from the rest of their kind due to the rise of talking pictures (which has impacted their silent film careers).

Naturally, they decide to get back at the industry by making their very own monster movie. How? Why, by using an ancient spellbook to summon monstrous creatures. Of course, it all goes wrong and the creatures are loose on humanity - leaving it up the Minions to save the day.

The mid-credits do tie into the overarching plot of the film directly while also providing enough thrills - and laughs - to keep Minions fans entertained. It's a very Minions way to close out the experience and it ensures that audiences who leave the theaters will do so with the biggest smiles on their faces.

It goes without saying that the movie industry has a big summer full of entertaining titles. Straight after the likes of Disclosure Day, Supergirl, and Toy Story, we have the likes of Moana, The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Before those, however, let the Minions do what they do best: Entertain us!
