It all started when Nick Fury showed up in Tony Stark's house after the credits rolled on Iron Man. Now, it is a bit of an unspoken rule that most superhero projects must save something for the very end to keep audiences glued to their seats. Sometimes, these sequences serve to tease an upcoming storyline or hint that a specific villain is coming. Other times, they play more like a gag or a throwaway joke. However, they are (almost) always there, especially in the Marvel universe.
Sony itself has added post-credits scenes to its many Spider-Man projects. It doesn't matter if they don't make sense at all as long as they build towards something new (like that time when Vulture suddenly appeared in Morbius' universe without any logical explanation). So now that Spider-Noir has officially released on Prime Video and is out for the whole world to see, we need to answer the question: Does the wall-crawler's latest show have a post-credits scene? Well, we have an answer, and don't worry, because we are not going to dive into spoiler territory here.

Spider-Noir doesn't have a post-credits scene
The short answer is that there isn't a post-credits scene in Spider-Noir. After all is said and done and the show's main mystery is solved, audiences won't see a scene teasing a possible second season or, say, a Spider-Verse crossover. There is no bonus footage or any shocking surprise saved for last. So you don't need to stick around until the very end of the credits in any of the eight episodes.
Part of the reason why Spider-Noir doesn't have a post-credits scene is that it acts as a self-contained story with no ties to any other Spider-Man project. This iteration of the wall-crawler is completely different from the one seen in the Spider-Verse movies, meaning Sony couldn't have shown a clip of him in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Similarly, Nicolas Cage's Ben Reilly couldn't be any more different from Tom Holland's Peter Parker, which explains why there was no Spider-Man: Brand New Day tease.
While Spider-Noir didn't feature a post-credits scene, that doesn't mean there isn't something else to look forward to. Showrunner Oren Uziel revealed that Sony is working on multiple other projects starring Spider-Man variants, each with its own genre and tone. On the one hand, it's a relief that those spin-offs will actually feature a version of Spider-Man and not only a villain with no one to fight against. However, there's no denying that there's also a risk when Peter Parker is the main star of the show.
Perhaps Sony wants to wait to see the reception of Spider-Noir and how many viewers it draws before committing to other projects similar to it. And since they haven't committed to those projects just yet, they can't tease them in a post-credits scene. Playing it safe is the wiser tactic. Otherwise, the studio would have another "Knull" scenario on its hands, where they set up a future storyline only for it to go absolutely nowhere.
For superhero fans, this could also be a breath of fresh air. In a time when every studio seemingly tries to build its own interconnected universe of projects, a self-contained story that isn't keen on setting up a sequel is definitely welcome. And despite the fact that Spider-Noir would be the perfect type of series to leave many loose ends, that is far from being the case.
Either way, we have more Spider-Man projects on the horizon, such as Brand New Day, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2, Avengers: Doomsday (where Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man will reportedly appear), Marvel's Spider-Man 3, and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. So fret not, because plenty more arachnid action is coming our way.
Spider-Noir is now streaming on Prime Video.
