As fans prepare for the season 3 finale of School Spirits, there are things that should be expected. First, we need answers to what Simon’s fate will be. Second, can the destruction of Split River High School be prevented? Lastly, what cliffhanger will fans be left on?

All of these are legitimate questions, but there are still a couple of episodes left before any of them are answered. Until then, the third season of the beloved Paramount Plus show will keep on doing what it does best, and that’s provide emotional moments from the characters.

Wally and Rhonda bond in exclusive School Spirits season 3 episode 7 clip

My favorite character on the show is easily Rhonda (played by Sarah Yarkin). When she was first introduced, she was snarky and cynical, and had a good reason to be both. She was betrayed and murdered by someone she trusted. After that, she spent the next six decades keeping her emotions closed in and rarely trusting people. Then she met Quinn, and everything changed. Sure, Rhonda was still sarcastic and funny, but the more she opened up, the more relatable she became.

On the flip side, there’s Wally (played by Milo Manheim). He may not have been a completely open book, but he was certainly freer with his emotions than Rhonda. That, and his sometimes childish behavior, left them at odds. However, as revealed in an exclusive clip provided to Bam Smack Pow / FanSided, we see that their relationship will take a big step.

In the clip above, Rhonda and Wally sit by the lockers discussing their past, present, and future. If you’ve watched the show, it won’t be shocking to learn that Wally wanted to stay in high school forever. He’s even content to stay and not crossover. Which makes sense since he had the chance in the season 2 finale. He even mentioned that he didn't mind being known as the guy who peaked in high school.

After Wally shares his thoughts, Rhonda tells him that it’s okay to change his mind. This might mean that, before this conversation started, Wally may have been thinking about the possibility of crossing over or that he had the opportunity. Rhonda says that life (and apparently the afterlife) is all a leap of faith. Then she says something shocking: “Wherever we go, whenever we go… I will really miss you.” Wally tries to make the situation light by saying, “Football star Wally Clark.” Rhonda replies, “My friend Wally Clark.”

Considering everything that’s going on, it’s understandable that they would have a moment like this. If the school is destroyed, or they crossover, it could be the last time they have a chance to talk to each other. If that’s the case, some things shouldn't be left unsaid. Nevertheless, it’s still surprising that Rhonda would have a moment like this with Wally. Nevertheless, it was a long time coming, and frankly, it could be attributed to her newfound relationship with Quinn.

This is a fantastic moment from the two stars, and it won’t be the last as we head towards the season 3 finale of School Spirits. Stay tuned to Bam Smack Pow for more from School Spirits.
