If you were to ask a group of Fallout fans what their favorite game in the franchise is, chances are you'd hear a lot of "New Vegas". Unfortunately, the highly acclaimed title has become a bit of a Wasteland of its own with the passing of time.
When Fallout: New Vegas was released back in 2010, one of its few negative aspects was the number of bugs it had. As years went by, the game only became harder to install and run on modern PCs. So, unless you spent all of your real-life skill points in the hacking perk, it's a bit tricky to dive into the world that Obsidian Entertainment created over a decade ago. As such, players have been asking for a remaster for years now, and their wishes might just become a reality.
Could Iron Galaxy Studios be teasing a Fallout: New Vegas remaster?
Iron Galaxy Studios is no stranger to working on Bethesda games, as they were in charge of creating the Skyrim port for the Nintendo Switch and assisted in developing Fallout 76. So when the studio posted a cryptic post about having a meeting to discuss "what's coming next" with an image of the Fallout loading screen attached, the internet collectively lost its mind.
Today’s our February company meeting. It’s time to catch up with what the company’s been up to and what’s coming up next for IG. pic.twitter.com/4rVxkEVLgg

Mind you, that "Please Stand By" image is not taken from any random Fallout game. Instead, this image acts specifically as the Fallout: New Vegas loading screen. Could players finally get the remaster/remake/port they have been asking for years? Well, there's evidence to suggest that's the case.
It has been reported that remasters for Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3 are, indeed, coming our way. These projects would be similar in scope to The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, which exceeded Microsoft's sales expectations. Fans theorized that a mysterious countdown on the Fallout TV series official page would lead to the shadow drop of any of these projects, but that was ultimately not the case. However, that doesn't mean that these titles aren't a reality. But is Iron Galaxy Studios really involved in this big masterplan?
After speculation started to run rampant about a possible Fallout: New Vegas remake, Iron Galaxy Studios addressed the situation and seemingly denied they were working on anything Fallout related, by stating:
"There is nothing to see here. Sorry to disturb the volcanoes, but that was just a BTS look at our company meeting. We use that slide every month and has nothing to do with anything Fallout being worked on. As you can imagine, we love Fallout, too. Now pardon us as we retreat back into our vault."
The statement is worded in a very curious way, especially towards the end, where they claim to "retreat back into our vault". This phrase has ignited even more curiosity, as some fans are convinced it is a clue that the studio is really working on Fallout: New Vegas. After all, what are the chances that they really use the Fallout: New Vegas loading screen as the first slide of their monthly company meeting?
Of course, the most likely scenario is that Iron Galaxy is telling the truth and it is working on something completely different. However, that's not to say a different studio is secretly developing the highly anticipated game, especially since its existence has been all but confirmed at this point by numerous reports.
With a bit of luck, it won't be long before Bethesda finally allows us to get a glimpse behind the curtain and announces a Fallout: New Vegas remaster along with a release date. After all, Fallout 5 is nowhere near close to hittingshelves, so the remaster will surely make the wait feel shorter.
