Amazon's Prime Video streaming service gifted fans with two surprises last week. Firstly, it brought Fallout back to screens after an extended wait. And second of all, it announced that the first episode of season 2 would premiere a day earlier.
It's been just a week and the world is already talking about Fallout again - which is extremely impressive considering that it has the likes of Stranger Things 5 and Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 to compete with this holiday season. But fans of the beloved series - and the critically-acclaimed video game franchise which it is based upon - have indeed been tuning into the new installments.
Speaking of which, there's a bit of a schedule change for the third episode. Here's what you need to know.
Fallout season 2 episode 2 release date and exact time on Prime Video
Fallout season 2 episode 2, titled "The Golden Rule", premieres on Prime Video on Wednesday, December 24, at 12:00 a.m. PT, 3:00 a.m. ET, 1:00 a.m. MT, and 2:00 a.m. CT. Although the Christmas Eve release is exciting, fans will undoubtedly notice that the episode arrives later than the season 2 premiere. Yes, that's right: While the previous episode arrive during primetime in the US, the second - and indeed the rest of the season - will return to Prime Video's typical release schedule, meaning that new episodes will premiere in the wee hours of the morning Stateside instead.
Of course, that will have an impact on when fans around the world can watch it too. With that in mind, here are all of the times you can watch the next episode of Fallout season 2 if you're watching the show from outside the US.
- Hawaii: 9:00 p.m. HST on Tuesday, December 23

The special primetime release for the show's premiere was likely jut a one-time thing to celebrate the debut of season 2. Now, it will return to its originally-planned release time for the rest of the season, premiering on Wednesday mornings (instead of Tuesday nights).
Those aren't the only changes that Fallout season 2 has to offer. The show's weekly release format is significantly different to the plans for season 1, which released in a binge-format (with all eight episodes premiering at once). But hey, the first season premiered in 2024 and the streaming landscape has changed exponentially since then - with many platforms now reverting to the weekly release format that benefitted broadcast TV (and still does).
From the visual imagery of every vivid scene to its eclectic cast of characters (including Twin Peaks Legend Kyle MacLachlan), Fallout has something for everyone. And its second season is already shaping up to be one of the most gripping TV shows of the year (and the next).
