Somehow, someway; it's almost time for Fallout season 2 to wrap up. The beloved Prime Video sci-fi series, which is based on one of the most popular video game franchises in the world, has been thrilling audiences through the holidays and into the new year with its sophomore season, ensuring that we all felt that the long wait for new episodes was absolutely worth it.
But, after moving beyond the halfway mark with the fifth episode, the show has been ramping up the tension and the drama as we head towards that finale. Before that, however, there is the penultimate episode of the season, which will undoubtedly cause a lot of conflict for Lucy, The Ghoul, and all of the other survivors. Here's when you can anticipate it.
When Fallout season 2 episode 7 comes out on Prime Video
Fallout season 2 episode 7, titled "The Handoff", premieres on Prime Video next Wednesday, January 28, at 12:00 a.m. PT, 3:00 a.m. ET, 1:00 a.m. MT, and 2:00 a.m. CT. Just as its predecessors have (with the exception of the season premiere), the episode will maintain the early morning start for domestic viewers, arriving at midnight PT. This also translates to an early UK release, too, as it will be released on the platform over there at 8:00 a.m. GMT.
To say that Fallout has been thrilling viewers throughout its second season would be quite the understatement. The beloved show had high expectations to meet after its extremely strong first season remained an active memory in so many fans' lives as they anticipated the second. But, to the surprise of nobody, it succeeded - thus far delivering a second season so strong that it could very well rival the first. And considering there were nerves about it adapting the New Vegas storyline, it's safe to say that it really defied the odds!
This season has been a thrill-ride since it began, with the whole cast delivering standout, stellar performances, but in recent episodes, the true scene-stealer has been Kyle MacLachlan. The Twin Peaks star has been chilling as Hank MacLean - Lucy's unusual father, who certainly knows how to grab your attention. He's been at the forefront of some of these episodes, and it's all gone a long way in setting up the finale.
The upcoming penultimate episode will look to do that in a far greater capacity, setting the stage for a finale that will no doubt have even higher stakes than the previous one. We don't yet know what that will look like, but judging by the standard of this season already, it's going to be a captivator. And maybe, just maybe, it will be the biggest episode of them all.
