A lot happened in the previous episode of IT: Welcome to Derry, but nothing more crucial than the events of the last 15 minutes. Everything involving Pennywise and the kids he’s tormenting, the military, and Ronnie’s father Hank all come into play. Unfortunately, none of it is good.

First, and maybe the most important, someone tipped off the people in Derry that Hank is hiding out in the spot the Black soldiers are using to relax. They don’t go there sober or calmly with a plan. They’re in creepy masks, fresh from the bar, angry, and packing enough guns to take down bears. What could possibly go wrong?

Second, the audience learned that Ingrid (the woman having an affair with Hank) has been helping Pennywise and was also the person that the kids saw in the graveyard, not Pennywise. And, at the end of the episode, Ingrid is putting on the Pennywise costume. What she’s going to do remains to be seen, but we can guess something sinister. Thankfully, that should be revealed in the next episode of the HBO Max series. Here’s how you can tune in so you don’t miss what happens.

What to expect in IT: Welcome to Derry episode 7

The situation with the people looking for Hank ends one of two ways. Hank will get caught or somehow escape, and the angry mob will eventually leave. It wouldn't be shocking if Dick reads the angry mob's minds and hides Ronnie and Hank before it's too late. Sadly, even if Ronnie and Hank escape, people may still die. This is the 1960s. Not exactly a time period full of racial equality.

Also, it's possible that Ingrid will end up being blamed for the murder of the kids (that happened in episode 1) and anything else Pennywise-related. Ronnie, Will, Lilly, and Rich have pictures of her in the cemetery, and she’ll be caught wearing the costume. It may not happen in episode 7, but it’s easy to guess that it will be hinted at. Even if it does, the Pennywise storyline won't be over until the season finale (episode 8, "Winter Fire").
