It's almost time to Look Up. The trailer for James Gunn's new Superman movie is almost upon us, and it will effectively launch the build towards the beginning of the live-action arm of the DC Universe. The franchise, overseen by DC Studios' heads and chairmen Gunn and Peter Safran, kicked off this month with animated series Creature Commandos, but the hype became that much more real when the first teaser poster for Superman was released earlier this week.

That post showcased the first full official look at David Corenswet's Man of Steel, giving us an indicator of what his suit is supposed to look like. It comes after the first official image released this summer received a somewhat mixed response from audiences due to the fact that the costume wasn't all that clear. But the set photos made up for that, and now this new poster has received acclaim from fans around the world. The fact that it was first released as a motion poster and accompanied by John Murphy's stunning reinvention of John Williams' classic Superman theme was just the icing on the cake.

But the moment we have all been waiting for is almost upon us, as the first teaser trailer for Superman will release this week. If you're planning on checking it out when it goes live, here's all you ne

Superman trailer release time where you live

The trailer for Superman is set to premiere in the US on Thursday, December 19, at 6:00 a.m. PT on the West Coast and 9:00 a.m. ET on the East Coast. But if you're tuning in from other time zones, you'll be glad to know that it will also be released around the world at the exact same time. In fact, DC's official YouTube account is hosting an official global premiere stream of the trailer which will debut the first look at the film when it's time.

Speaking of time, here are all the times that the trailer premieres in each time zone:

After the global premiere, the official trailer will then live on DC's YouTube account (along with the many other social platforms it will no doubt be shared on) for you to revisit again and again between now and July.

As for what you can expect from it, reports out the press screening that James Gunn hosted for the trailer suggest that it will be a heartwarming, triumphant, and emotional two-minute promo that doesn't rely heavily on dialogue. That sounds pretty apt for the Man of Steel to me!

It also lines up with the trailer teaser that Gunn and his friends over at DC unveiled in the run-up the full-trailer drop on Thursday. The brief 30-second teaser features the first footage of Rachel Brosnahan's Lois Lane and her fellow Daily Planet colleagues in a hauntingly beautiful clip that definitely set the tone. If the full trailer is anything like that, we will all be feeling the goosebumps.
