We've all been enjoying the thrills, spills, and near-kills in Jujutsu Kaisen season 3. The show continues to provide itself as one of the premier anime shows of the modern age and, if you have read the manga, you shouldn't be surprised by that. From Yuji Itadori's rise to the top of jujutsu sorcerer picture to Satoru Gojo's captivating presence, JJK remains visually gripping and hauntingly chilling in everything that it does. Season 3 has been no different.
The third season continues to entertain fans around the world, adapting the Culling Game arc. The first 11 episodes of the season have showcased some of the storyline's most well-renowned chapters, as Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro battle other sorcerers (including some unnerving reincarnated ones) in a bid to increase their points within the tournament. However, there's something you need to know about the upcoming twelfth episode.
Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 episode 12 is the end of The Culling Game, Part 1
Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 episode 12 will indeed air next Thursday, March 26, but that will also be the final episode of the first cour. That's probably not a surprise to anime experts due to how the shows are formatted for Japanese audiences, but to the general audiences around the world, it effectively means that the season will be taking a long midseason hiatus in order to build anticipation for The Culling Game, Part 2 - which will indeed serve as the second half of the season at some point this year.
Anime shows with longer seasons are split into two cours per season, which means that Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 will air in two batches. The first twelve served as the first cour and it has entertained us throughout the first quarter of the year. The second cour, The Culling Game, Part 2, will air later this year. Although Crunchyroll and / or the creative team behind the series itself have yet confirm when exactly that return will happen - fans have predicted that the second half of the season will begin sometime between summer and early fall 2026.
As for what audiences can expect from the grand finale of Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 part 1, that's simple and complicated at the same time: It will be explosive, epic, and unimaginably entertaining. But it's also hard to predict where that will leave each of its characters - because on this show you just enver know. Unless, of course, you have read the manga, then you'll have a pretty good idea.
Speaking of which, the finale is expected to adapt the Sendai Colony Battle - which is arguably the most edge-of-seat moment from the manga's Culling Game Arc. While the episodes leading up to this have been focused on favorites Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro, this one will once again place the focus on Yuta Okkotsu, as he goes up against some of the most powerful jujutsu sorcerers in a four-way battle. And as Okkotsu is one of the most powerful sorcerers in the wake of Satoru Gojo's current absence, he's the right one to focus on in JJK season 3's midseason finale.
