In what was undoubtedly a welcome day for anime fans all across the world, Jujutsu Kaisen returned to TV screens last week. The show resumed its high-profile third season with its heavily-anticipated eighth episode, showing us all what went down as Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro entered the Tokyo Colony barrier and crossed paths with warriors taking them on a wild goose chase.
Fans knew it would be a big episode as it was the second installment of the Tokyo No. 1 Colony saga (we all love a two-parter, right?!). What to expect from Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 episode 9
You know that a TV season is good when each episode is even more anticipated than the first. It's true; for the past few weeks, we have continued to say that the newest episode of Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 has been its strongest one yet. We have no reason to believe that this won't be the same with the upcoming ninth episode of season 3.
In the next installment of The Culling Game Arc, we are likely to see that highly-anticipated clash between Yuji Itadori and Hiromi Higuruma. It's something fans of the manga have been waiting for, and it's almost upon us. The previous episode officially introduced us to Hiromi Higuruma in depth, providing us with his backstory and what ultimately led the warrior to this point in his story.
It's going to be no easy feat for Yuji to defeat him. We saw just how powerful Higuruma is in the closing moments of the previous episode when he unleashed his Domain Expansion: Death Sentencing. The showdown we're about to see unfold in "Tokyo No. 1 Colony, Part 3" is going to be one for the ages, for sure, we just hope that Yuji will be able to overcome it.
All that being said, considering all of the cursed energy and demons that Itadori has overcome throughout the three seasons of Jujutsu Kaisen so far, we wouldn't rule him out just yet. If anything, he's more than equipped to deal with a warrior like Higuruma. And with just four episodes left of The Culling Game, Part 1 (before the first cour concludes and the hiatus before the second commences), the stakes have never been higher for JJK.
