If you can believe it, 2025 is quickly hurdling toward its end, which means some of the biggest blockbuster movies from the spring and summer rush are starting to arrive on streaming. Thunderbolts* and Lilo & Stitch have been burning up Disney Plus, and superhero fans are waiting for The Fantastic Four: First Steps to join them and Superman to fly onto HBO Max.
More of the hottest movies from the big screen will begin to hit our streaming watch lists, like Freakier Friday, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and perhaps the biggest surprise smash of the summer Jurassic World Rebirth. The new chapter of the Jurassic Park saga arrived with hesitation about how it would perform, but the film exceeded expectations in more ways than one, and now we can't wait to rewatch the summer favorite on streaming sometime this fall.
If you're holding out hope that your rewatch will take place on Peacock in the coming weeks, there's going to be a bit longer of a waiting period before the movie arrives on the streaming platform.
Jurassic World Rebirth won't make its streaming debut on Peacock until later this fall
After opening in theaters on July 3, Jurassic World Rebirth still has its last remaining showtimes before ending its theatrical run after about three months. Having already made over $860 million worldwide, the movie was released on digital and on-demand platforms for rent and purchase on Aug. 5, which was one month after its theatrical premiere. However, we will have to stay patient for the hit sequel to roar onto Peacock for streaming.
Peacock hasn't revealed the streaming release date for Jurassic World Rebirth as of this writing, but based on past Universal Pictures movies release patterns, the movie could arrive on the streamer about four months after its theatrical premiere. That could bring Rebirth onto Peacock sometime in November 2025, though late October could also be in the cards. A streaming release in November would be smart since it's right around the holiday season.

That being said, there's not an exact science behind Universal Pictures release strategies from theaters to Peacock. Some begin streaming sooner than four months, and some arrive after that timeframe. But seeing as Jurassic World Rebirth was a well-reviewed blockbuster, Universal and Peacock shouldn't allow too much time to pass and choose the optimal date for fans to be able to rewatch the hit movie and new fans who missed it in theaters to finally check it out.
Jurassic World Rebirth is a standalone sequel to the Jurassic World trilogy (and the seventh installment in the overall Jurassic Park franchise) and it follows a group of trained specialists and scientists as they travel to one of the only remaining islands in the world in which dinosaurs still exist in the hopes of extracting their DNA. Led by Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey, the action-packed adventure proved to be one of the biggest success stories of the year, so it wouldn't be too surprising if another entry in the franchise was greenlit in the near-future.
It feels inevitable at this point; the only questions would be whether Johansson, Ali, or Bailey return to battle the D-Rex or if the franchise's future lies in standalone tales for the foreseeable. Regardless of what a potential eighth movie could look like, it's clear that there is an appetite for it - just as there is an appetite to see Rebirth.
Aside from being able to purchase the movie on digital platforms right now, waiting for its streaming release on Peacock isn't the only way to get your eyes on Rebirth. The film was released on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K on Sept. 9. If you're still someone who collects physical media, watching the movie is as easy as ordering a copy online or heading to your local retailer. For the superfans, it's enough to hold you over until it comes to Peacock, since that won't be anytime soon.
