Scarlett Johansson is one of the original stars of the MCU. Johansson's first appearance as Natasha Romanoff, also known as Black Widow, was in 2010's Iron Man 2. From there, Black Widow appeared in all of the Avengers movies and the major movies that led up to Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

Unfortunately, I think Johansson got a pretty rough deal in the MCU. Romanoff is one of the best characters, but she's treated as an afterthought for much of the film series. Black Widow sacrifices herself to keep the war against Thanos going in Avengers: Endgame. It's a devastating scene, and it directly leads to the Avengers reversing what Thanos did and the damage caused in Infinity War.

After Endgame, Johansson reprises her role in the MCU in Black Widow, which tells the story of Romanoff's past and digs into her training in Russia. She also appears in the post-credits scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which was released in 2021.

It's a bummer that we won't see Black Widow in another Marvel movie, but it's also amazing that we got nine movies with Johansson as such a great character.
