For over a decade, the Devil of Hell's Kitchen has been keeping New York safe, making sure that criminals pay for their sins and that justice is served for everyone alike. Matt Murdock had three seasons of his own standalone Netflix show before taking a short hiatus and eventually making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut during the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Since then, the Man Without Fear has often flown solo, carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders alone. Fortunately, that's about to change.

In the finale of Daredevil: Born Again season 2, Matt Murdock received a taste of his own medicine and was sent to jail. The devil is now locked in Cell Block D, and in his absence, a new group of heroes will rise to the occasion and attempt to save the day. Jessica Jones had already suited up for action earlier this year, while audiences also saw the return of Luke Cage to the small screen. However, Daredevil: Born Again season 3 will raise the stakes and bring back a street-level group of heroes who haven't reunited in over nine years.

Marvel officially confirms the Defenders will assemble once more in Daredevil: Born Again season 3

It's time to run it back. While Marvel fans have recently been taken aback by the news that Daredevil: Born Again season 3 will be the last, it's safe to say that the Devil won't go quietly into the night. New York Comic-Con is here, and Marvel made the most of the event by hosting a Television and Animation panel in which the studio revealed what's next for many upcoming Disney+ projects, such as the highly anticipated Daredevil: Born Again season 3.

Pictures taken from the set of Daredevil: Born Again season 3 had already revealed that the Defenders would assemble on the small screen. Even then, Marvel remained tight-lipped about the situation and refused to acknowledge that these iconic heroes would come together... until now. The cat is finally out of the bag, and it has been confirmed that Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Matt Murdock will join forces once more.

Charlie Cox took to the stage, along with Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter and Iron Fist's Finn Jones as the trio made the announcement, all while teasing fans with some of what they can expect from the upcoming final season of the Disney Plus show. There was some new footage released to go along with that.

That new footage featured Matt Murdock (who is now in prison after revealing his true identity as Daredevil to the world) crafting an orange Daredevil suit from his prison uniform leading to a major fight scene. We also see Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist reunite - which will undoubtedly be an unforgettable moment in the shows' final season.

Speaking of which, Marvel Studios did indeed confirm that Daredevil: Born Again season 3 would be the final season of the show, which drew loud boos from the audience. Although it was essentially confirmed that the show's conclusion was coming ever since the announcement was made last month, this is Marvel's first time addressing it - and, as a result, their first time confirming it.

On the bright side, it won't be long before we see for ourselves what adventures lie ahead for Matt Murdock, Wilson Fisk, Bullseye, Elektra, and the Defenders. It seems the Netflix era of these characters is back, and we can't wait to see how it all pans out.
