Marvel drops TWO major trailers (but one was noticeably absent)

Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios unveiled two brand new trailers for upcoming MCU movies. However, one trailer that fans were particularly hoping to see wasn't released.

2025 is shaping up to be one heck of a year for Marvel Studios. Fresh off a triumphant comeback to its box-office glory days with the release of Deadpool and Wolverine and the return to the WandaVision-levels of hype on the small screen with Disney Plus series Agatha All Along, the Marvel Cinematic Universe looks set to continue entertaining its devoted legion of worldwide fans with some epic movies and TV shows next year, too.

Shortly after releasing a teaser for the Disney Plus installments we can expect next year, the studio made its presence felt on D23 Brazil to showcase some more upcoming titles. That included short appearances from various MCU titles' cast members, as well as two action-packed trailers that spotlight two upcoming projects in particular.

There was another trailer that fans were expecting that unfortunately didn't accompany these two, but there is no denying that the teasers we got are absolutely worth the excitement.

Marvel's most unlikely heroes unite in Thunderbolts* Special Look trailer

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the evening was the unveiling of a brand new trailer for Thunderbolts*. Yes, it's on the Marvel release calendar for next year, and yes it makes sense to promote it to huge audiences and major events like this one. What makes its release a surprise, however, is the simple fact that we just got a Thunderbolts* trailer as recently as September, and the movie doesn't come out until May.

But we're not ones to complain, so when Marvel surprises us, we say "Thank you very much! We love it!". And we do love it, as the action in Thunderbolts* looks epic, and the film is no doubt going to be one of the franchise's most fun installments in quite some time. With characters from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier all set to appear, this is a true MCU crossover and we couldn't be more excited for it!

Anthony Mackie takes flight in Captain America: Brave New World trailer

This is the movie trailer we were expecting. With Captain America: Brave New World set for release in February 2025, it's the MCU's next live-action chapter; so you can bet that Marvel made sure to promote it, giving it the main event slot of its D23 Brazil panel and unveiling the new trailer for the film.

What is there to say about this one? Well, much like the first trailer that released this summer, this film looks set to be in the vein of Captain America: The Winter Soldier in that it's a more grounded, political thriller that really heightens that feeling that nobody knows who they can trust. With Sam Wilson having just picked up the shield, and the world still uncertain how to move forward after The Blip (and, you know, the fact that there is a giant Celestial's hand sticking out of the ocean), there is a lot on the line in this one - and it's sure going to be a thrill-ride to watch.

Oh yeah, and Harrison Ford becomes a giant, red, CGI Hulk! What's not to love!

No Daredevil: Born Again trailer just yet

Leading up to D23 Brazil, one of the trailers that fans were most looking forward to was Daredevil: Born Again. A trailer had been released to audiences exclusively at the D23 Expo in Anaheim earlier this year, so now was the time to unveil it - or a new one - to audiences online. But unfortunately, it didn't happen.

The lack of trailer here is also what makes the Thunderbolts* trailer release so surprising. That movie is coming out in May, but Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney Plus in March. The fact that Thunderbolts* already has two trailers and Daredevil doesn't even have one yet is a little bit strange.

Nevertheless, according to reports, the trailer is still coming out soon and could very well be released before the end of November. That's great news because fans are longing to see Charlie Cox back in action as The Man Without Fear, alongside Vincent D'Onofrio's imposing Kingpin.

I'll say it again: 2025 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for Marvel Studios!
