After a streak of uneven projects, the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to be back in form and firing on all cylinders. 2026 has been a critically acclaimed year for the superhero giant thanks to the release of Wonder Man, Daredevil: Born Again season 2, and The Punisher: One Last Kill special presentation. Fortunately, this is just the beginning.

In just a couple of months, audiences worldwide will watch the wall-crawler swing back onto the big screen courtesy of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, while Earth's Mightiest Heroes will assemble after a seven-year hiatus in Avengers: Doomsday. But among the remaining MCU projects set to release this year, the one we know the least about is VisionQuest.

It has been confirmed that the Vision's upcoming adventure is set to close out the WandaVision trilogy and that characters such as Ultron and Speed will make an appearance. Beyond that, everything remained a mystery, including the show's release date... until now.

VisionQuest will be released on Disney+ on October 14

During Disney's 2026 upfront presentation, it was unveiled that VisionQuest will arrive on Disney+ on Oct. 14, 2026. Furthermore, the show's first trailer was also showcased to everyone in attendance. While the footage hasn't made its way online at the time of writing this, we have a description of what was shown thanks to The Wrap.

White Vision was seen in his human form, watching the memories of his predecessor playing out like a movie. "He’s been given his memories back without having lived them, so now he’s trying to figure out his humanity once more." Ultron also shows up in his human form and mockingly congratulates Vision on having a son in the form of Ruaridh Mollica's Speed, who also makes a brief appearance.

VisionQuest will keep the themes of parenthood present in WandaVision and, to some extent, in Agatha All Along. That's why the appearance of Speed and Ultron is all the more important, given that the former is Vision's son while the latter is his father. Furthermore, the head of Streaming, Television, and Animation at Marvel Studios, Brad Winderbaum, confirmed that we'll also see a lot of action set pieces:

"It gets very emotional at times, and it's exciting. You see Vision kicking ass, and you get all that Marvel fun and adventure, [but] it's all done with a backdrop of real human stakes and emotion."

VisionQuest will also feature its own unique version of the Hex shown in WandaVision, which fans have theorized could be a realm entirely created in Vision's head. In this surreal mansion, many A.I.s have human forms, including Ultron, D.U.M.-E, U, J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., and E.D.I.T.H.

Given that VisionQuest is the last MCU project set to be released before Avengers: Doomsday—and that both Speed and Wiccan are rumored to appear in Earth's Mightiest Heroes' upcoming adventure—it will be interesting to see if the two projects share a big connection. After all, we finally know they won't be released too far apart from each other.

VisionQuest will be released on Oct. 14, on Disney+.
