2026 will be a big year for superhero video games, with heavy hitters like LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra finally coming our way. However, expectations are at an all-time high when it comes to Marvel's Wolverine. Logan will finally be the star of his own solo video game for the first time since the release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine back in 2009. But while fans are excited to spill blood and wreak havoc as the iconic X-Men, he might not be the only hero on scene.

Marvel's Wolverine will take place in the same universe as Marvel's Spider-Man, opening the doors for the two iconic heroes to meet further down the line. Furthermore, rumor has it that a Marvel's Venom game is in development, and Logan will show up as a boss fight. But if that wasn't enough, there's a slight chance that the Man Without Fear also joins the party.

Insomniac Games could've teased Daredevil's appearance in Marvel's Wolverine

"Claws? What's that, some kind of fancy lawyer lingo?" That simple caption has sent Marvel fans into a frenzy. A new social media publication by Insomniac Games could imply that Wolverine will meet a "fancy lawyer" in his upcoming video game, and no one fits that description better than Matt Murdock.

For many years now, fans have been asking to see Daredevil star in his own video game. Those hopes were lifted when gamers discovered a secret room in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 that hid many interesting props such as firearms, skulls, and swords. While the room's true meaning hasn't been deciphered to date, many were quick to point out that it could be a reference to the villainous organization known as The Hand, a recurring Daredevil villain in comic book pages.

Theories surfaced that a possible Daredevil DLC would come to Marvel's Spider-Man 2, but that ultimately wasn't the case. However, the story didn't end there, as a report indicates that Marvel wants to collaborate with Insomniac to create a Daredevil video game. Furthermore, the infamous Insomniac hack revealed that The Hand will have a role to play in Marvel's Wolverine.

It's important to remember that Matt Murdock does exist in Insomniac's video game universe, as you can find the entrance to his law firm in Marvel's Spider-Man. So it could be a matter of time before we see him suit up and jump into action. After all, the Man Without Fear and the wall-crawler are close friends in comic book pages, so there's a chance Insomniac might adapt that relationship in upcoming titles.

On the flip side, if Daredevil were to have a role in Marvel's Wolverine, it seems highly unlikely his appearance would be teased on a social media post. So we always need to consider the possibility that the caption was nothing more than a quip. But with a bit of luck, a big Marvel crossover is coming our way in the video game world, and the road towards it will start later this year.

Marvel's Wolverine will be released in Fall 2026.
