It's been a minute since Moon Knight arrived on Disney Plus. It's been several minutes, in fact, as the show premiered on the streaming service back in 2022. Starring Oscar Isaac as The Fist of Khonshu, it brought Marc Spector and his alternate personalities Steven Grant and Jake Lockley to the Marvel Cinematic Universe along with Khonshu himself. It also turned out to be one of the most unique MCU properties thus far.
With its distinct visuals, focus on Egyptian mythology, and overall aesthetic, Moon Knight was a vivid experience unlike anything else that we have seen from the Marvel Studios franchise. One other aspect of it that fully immersed us in the experience was the powerful, haunting score from Hesham Nazih.
While the studio continues to remain quiet on when - or if - the cloaked, supernatural vigilante will return, it has now been revealed that the man responsible for giving him his unique sound will be back before him, as Nazih's next Marvel project has been revealed.
Moon Knight's Hesham Nazih is set to score Marvel's Eyes of Wakanda
If you still can't get enough of Hesham Nazih's legendary Moon Knight score, you'll be thrilled to know that his comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is imminent. As reported by Cosmic Marvel, a bio page for the composer has officially confirmed that his next project will be Marvel Animation's Eyes of Wakanda.
A companion series to the Black Panther movies, the animated series will mark the first of the Marvel Animation shows to actually be considered 100% canon to the MCU movies. It's set in the franchise's primary timeline (or, as the Time Variance Authority might refer to it: "The Sacred Timeline"), which means that it can directly influence - or be influenced by - the events of the live-action films and TV shows.

The show focuses on a group of legendary Wakandan warriors as they retrieve vibranium artifacts from around the world. It features an impressive cast of voice actors, including Winnie Harlow, Lynn Whitfield, and Cress Williams - who is no stranger to playing in the superhero sandbox, having brilliantly portrayed the titular character in all four seasons of The CW's Black Lightning.
The Black Panther movies are renowned for a lot of things: The visuals, the storytelling, the Wakandan lore. But its music is a big part of it too, as the film features some of the most stunning sounds you'll hear across all of cinema. Ludwig Göransson did an absolutely beautiful job, winning Best Original Score at the Academy Awards for his work on the first movie.
It's a tall task to take on such a classic franchise with that legacy already to its name, but there is no doubt that Hesham Nazih is the right man for the role. His equally phenomenal work on Moon Knight was so unique and it stood out among the franchise's many triumphant scores. It goes without saying that he will deliver once again on Eyes of Wakanda, and we can't wait to see - and hear - the finished product this summer.
Eyes of Wakanda will premiere on Disney Plus on August 6, 2025.
