We've talked at length many times about how the Marvel Cinematic Universe is no stranger to star-power - and that hasn't changed over the course of the past few years. From Robert Downey. Jr's return in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars to Harrison Ford's arrival in Captain America: Brave New World, the saga can still draw in some major names almot two decades after its unforgettable arrival.

Yes, the power of Marvel is strong, and you can bet that it will be even stronger when the buzz of the two upcoming Avengers movies (along with Spider-Man: Brand New Day) reminds audiences of what they can really expect from this franchise. And we will no doubt see some major names to go along with that in the upcoming films.

Now, rumor has it that Marvel is looking to recruit one of the most famous stars in the world.

Sabrina Carpenter eyed for a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

According to veteran industry insider MyTimeToShienHello, pop phenomenon Sabrina Carpenter is being eyed for a huge role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with reports claiming that she has already met with Marvel Studios about making it happen. Although there is no indication of what role she could play, speculation has already begun.

Right now, the likely candidate when it comes to Marvel Comics characters is one that was just recently associated with a different pop superstar. We are, of course, talking about Dazzler, who was rumored to make an appearance in 2024's Deadpool and Wolverine, with Taylor Swift potentially in the role. The rumor didn't turn out to be true, but the film itself made the most of the buzz, leaning into that via the promotional material with a poster featuring Deadpool and Wolverine friendship bracelets - and, as Swifties know, friendship bracelets are a big part of Taylor's fandoms.

As for who else Sabrina could play if Dazzler wasn't on the cards, the likely theories now point to a member of the X-Men. Marvel is currently in the planning stages of its now-confirmed X-Men movie and fans are excited to see who ultimately plays the mighty mutants when they make their MCU debut. Casting rumors have already begun, with recent reports suggesting that Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown is also in talks join the franchise in a potential role.

Sabrina has been enjoying an incredible run over the course of the past two years. She's been a force for years, but it was her summer 2024 hit "Espresso" that solidifed herself as one of the pop queens of our time. She has since continued that success with "Please, Please, Please" and "Taste", ensuring that her sixth album Short n' Sweet skyrcoketed to the top of the charts around the world. Her seventh album, Man's Best Friend, came out earlier this year and enjoyed similar success, spawning the hit singles "Manchild" and "Tears".

But Sabrina is no stranger to the world of acting either. Having started her career with an appearance on Law and Order: SVU, she went on to star in Girl Meets World, as well as appearing in films such as The Hate U Give and Tall Girl (and its sequel). To say that she would be a great addition to the MCU would be an understatement. We would love to see it happen.

Go on, Marvel! Please, Please, Please make it happen!
