Back in 2021, the Marvel Cinematic Universe released its first-ever Disney+ show: WandaVision. Viewers were immediately captivated by the show's central mystery, its characters, and the repercussions it could have for the rest of the franchise. Three years later, the story of Wanda's grief and loss was followed up with Agatha All Along—an intriguing tale that proved the Maximoff family had a shot at reuniting once more. Now, this arc is coming to a definitive end on the small screen with VisionQuest.

The latest MCU series has recaptured the magic of its predecessors by featuring complex characters, a lot of heart, and an unnerving mystery in the form of The Client's secret identity. It was a tall order to close out the WandaVision trilogy in a satisfying way, especially given how beloved the first two entries were. Fortunately, VisionQuest has certainly been up to the task, and just one episode separates us from discovering what the future holds in store for these characters. However, the finale will also bring with it the end of a major era for Marvel Television.

VisionQuest episode 8 is the final episode of the show and of the WandaVision trilogy as a whole

The mystery that began all the way back in 2021 is coming to an end. The final episode of VisionQuest, titled "Forever," will be released on Nov. 10, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. ET, 6:00 p.m. PT, 8:00 p.m. CT, and 7:00 p.m. MT. Marvel released the first six episodes in pairs, but decided to give the final two the spotlight by spacing them a week apart. That means we'll soon witness the culmination of a big Marvel Television era.

Most MCU Disney+ shows have been either a big hit or a miss. The studio—once known for only developing movies—couldn't adapt to this new medium right out of the gate. That means some series felt like over-extended films and failed to make the most of a weekly release format. However, the WandaVision trilogy has been a complete standout, as every single installment has been released to rave reviews and positive reactions from fans.

Unfortunately, the streak is coming to an end. The release of VisionQuest episode 8 also means the weeks of eagerly awaiting new episodes, theorizing about what's going on, and trying to figure out whether there will be any surprise appearances are over. WandaVision was perhaps the best project at keeping audiences on the edge of their seats and second-guessing their every step, but its two follow-up shows also recaptured some of that original magic, and it's unlikely the MCU will ever release projects filled with so much mystery and heart again.

On the bright side, just because the Maximoff family's story is ending on the small screen, it doesn't mean it won't be picked up on the big screen. While we have yet to learn what will happen in the VisionQuest finale, it's highly unlikely that Wanda Maximoff herself will make an appearance. As such, it's possible that the family reunion will take place during the two upcoming Avengers movies.

Leaked Avengers: Doomsday concept art revealed that Vision, Wiccan, and Speed are bound to have a role in the crossover film. Maybe Marvel will try to adapt the events of the Avengers: The Children's Crusade comic book storyline, in which Billy Maximoff leads the Young Avengers on a quest to find the Scarlet Witch, who hasn't been seen since she caused a devastating tragedy and the world deemed her evil (which is very similar to the events that have been unfolding in the MCU).

The Maximoff family may live on the big screen, but their journey on the small screen will come to an end with VisionQuest episode 8. So let's hope the upcoming release closes the trilogy out with a bang, and that Marvel finds new ways to keep crafting creative, heartfelt, and mysterious projects on the small screen moving forward.

VisionQuest episode 8 will be released on Nov. 10, 2026.
