The holidays are here, and there are some terrific Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes we'd love to spend Christmas with. While there have been a few MCU projects that embraced the Christmas feeling, the studio has only made one official Christmas special with 2022's The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. As fun as that cosmic yuletide adventure was, it doesn't need to end there.

Disney Plus remains the perfect place for the MCU to host occasional fun specials like this, and it is time then revisit the idea of a Christmas special. While there are a lot of different avenues these specials could take, there are certain MCU heroes who are perfectly suited to lead their own Christmas adventure.

Spider-Man

Spider-Man: No Way Home was vaguely a Christmas movie with the multiverse fun taking place in the lead-up to the holidays. However, it would be a lot of fun to see the web-slinging hero getting to have a full-blown Christmas adventure. In fact, it could take place right after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which ended with him swinging through a Christmasy New York City.

With Peter Parker now wiped from everyone's memory, a Spider-Man Christmas special could focus on his lonely yet heroic holidays of doing good in his neighborhood. It could work like an MCU version of It's a Wonderful Life. Despite his loneliness, Spider-Man is also one of the funnier MCU heroes who could keep the festivities light and entertaining.

Ms. Marvel

Ms. Marvel is another young hero whose sense of humor could make for some Christmas fun. There is also the chance to explore the entire holiday season, as Kamala Khan's family is Muslim and would not be celebrating Christmas. The special could see Kamala interacting with others as they do their own unique holiday celebrations.

Kamala is the kind of warm-hearted and hilarious hero who would be ideal for a light-hearted adventure. It would be a fun way to explore the many different perspectives that are in the larger MCU. It could also include a small role from Kamala's potential Young Avengers teammate, Kate Bishop.

Ant-Man

Perhaps the funniest hero currently in the MCU is Scott Lang, a.k.a. Ant-Man. With Paul Rudd in the role, it is not surprising that this shrinking hero is endlessly hilarious. It would be fun to see him in just about any scenario, but the Christmas setting would be especially fun for Ant-Man to explore.

Scott is a bit of a rare hero in that he is also a dedicated father. The Christmas special could simply revolve around him using his abilities to get the perfect present for his daughter, and all the hijinks that ensue as a result.

Werewolf By Night

Werewolf by Night is a rare MCU hero who has, so far, only existed within a Marvel Special Presentation. He got to lead his own Halloween-inspired special that introduced him as one of the supernatural superheroes of the cinematic universe. However, that doesn't mean it couldn't work just as well in a Christmas special.

From Gremlins to Krampus, there have been many Christmas favorites that infuse some horror into the festive fun. Werewolf by Night could lean into this niche by having Jack Russell take on a supernatural threat during the Christmas season. It could cement him as the perfect MCU character for any special occasion.

The Fantastic Four

While technically a team, the Fantastic Four operate as one and represent the ideal superhero family in the MCU. That makes them ideal for a Christmas family special that sees them juggling between saving the day and spending some cozy time together for the holidays.

There can be a lot of funny stuff to explore with the relatable family dynamics of this time of year, as well as the fun of making sure it is a great first Christmas for young Franklin Richards. It would be a great way of strengthening the family bond of these heroes while also showing their dysfunctions are not so different from our own.
