Miles Morales actor reveals who he'd like to fight in Marvel's Spider-Man 3

While Marvel's Spider-Man 3 hasn't been announced, Miles Morales himself revealed who he'd like to see as the villain in Insomniac's trilogy capper.

Back in 2023, video game players worldwide hopped back in Insomniac's rendition of New York to save the day as two different wall-crawlers. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 elevated the saga to a whole new level by introducing web-wings, new improved combat mechanics, almost no load-times, multiple playable characters, and two new terrifying antagonists. It was a fantastic superhero epic that left us wanting more. Fortunately, the post-credits scene teased that the story is far from over, as more heroes and villains are soon to enter the picture.

While Marvel's Spider-Man 3 hasn't been officially announced, it's a well-known fact that it is coming. Peter Parker's voice actor, Yuri Lowenthal, recently confirmed that he'll be back for the next chapter in Insomniac's franchise even when his character hung up the suit in favor of a simpler life with M.J. the last time we saw him. Now, the voice behind Miles Morales talked about who he'd like to fight next and how his dynamic with Peter Parker will be moving forward.

Miles Morales' voice actor, Nadji Jeter, wants to fight the Green Goblin

During an interview with The Direct, which took place at FanExpo Vancouver 2025, Nadji Jeter discussed Marvel's Spider-Man 3 and where he'd like to see the game go. Miles Morales' voice actor gave a straight answer by stating: "I want to fight the Green Goblin". While far from being an official confirmation that Norman Osborn will be the main antagonist in Insomniac's next game, it does seem like the logical step to take.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was all about Norman Osborn trying to find a cure for his son's Oshtoran Syndrome. Norman was so desperate that he eventually used a symbiotic alien from outer space as a means to treat Harry's disease. But fast-forward a few days, and a ruthless Venom was roaming around the streets of New York, infecting everyone he crossed paths with. Once both Spider-Men finally stopped the city's new threat and seemingly "destroyed" the symbiote, Harry was unfortunately left in a deep coma — an event that could be Norman's first step in his descent into madness. After all, he later asks Doctor Octopus for help in order to take down the wall-crawlers for "ruining his son". All signs seem to indicate that The Green Goblin will finally show up in the "final chapter" of Insomniac's saga, and we couldn't be any more excited.

Another key plot-point of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 sees Peter retire from his superhero life after discovering how much he had turned his back on M.J. However, that doesn't mean that he'll be completely out of the picture once the next game in the franchise arrives, as revealed by Nadji Jeter:

"Miles is always going to need Peter Parker, no matter what. No matter what it is. He is kind of like his Yoda. So, he is always going to need his wisdom and his guidance no matter how the world may turn. Also, good guys always need a break sometimes. You never know what will happen. The world is crazy out there. So if it needs both of our assistance, then we will show up. But if my big bro needs a breather, I [Miles] is ready to go."

Maybe Miles Morales will be at the center of the spotlight in the opening moments of Marvel's Spider-Man 3, with Peter acting a bit as "the guy in the chair" giving him advice. However, all it takes is a big tragedy for Peter to come out of retirement and wear the iconic red and blue suit once again. Best of all? The two of them don't have to save the world on their own as they could have Cindy Moon's help — a character who was teased to take on the Silk mantle during the end of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. But what role will she play? Well, this is what Nadji Jeter had to say:

"We don't know. I am kind of surprised myself and kind of excited to see where we take that lane. And also who Miles encounters next. That is what I am really excited about, whether it is new villains, whether it is another counterpart like how Finn was. I am super excited just to see what Miles does encounter next."

It seems the surprise will be kept a little longer, but it wouldn't be too far-fetched to assume that Silk could be a new playable character, given how every new game in the saga has introduced a new playable hero so far. On the bright side, maybe we won't have to wait too long until we finally figure out what is going on behind the curtains.

Marvel's Spider-Man for PS4 was announced in 2016 — a little over two years before it was finally launched. The exact same scenario happened for its sequel, as its first look made its way online in 2021 before it was released in 2023. Assuming Insomniac needs a 5-year development cycle period to create its titles (which is how long it took them to develop Marvel's Spider-Man 2), and that the next chapter in the saga will come out in 2028, then the first trailer for their next game may arrive as early as next year — just in time for the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Avengers: Doomsday, and the second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

2026 could shape up to be a big year for Spider-Man fans, and we can't wait to see how it all pans out.
