A lot happened in season 2, episode 7 of Apple TV’s Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, but this writer’s favorite storyline was Cate and Keiko learning the truth about the lore Cai Cai Vilu (Titan X). Among the more interesting things viewers discover is that there’s a history of people having a connection to Titan X, and that it usually leads to them succumbing to its call and dying. There’s even a graveyard/memorial dedicated to those who were killed by it.
While Keiko and Cate are searching for the truth about Titan X, Lee Shaw does something you never do when it comes to time travel. He told himself about the future. It was surprising since it seems like the older Shaw doesn’t remember any of this. Hopefully, this will make sense later in the series.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2 episode 8, titled "Separate Ways", is expected to premiere in the US on Thursday, April 16, at 9:00 p.m. ET, 6:00 p.m. PT, 7:00 p.m. MT, and 8:00 p.m. CT. Although Monarch is promoted as releasing new episodes each Friday, Apple TV's shows often debut the night before. That has been the case here.

What to expect in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2 episode 8
In the Instagram video above, you can see that Godzilla may make his return in episode 8. People have complained that there haven’t been a lot of monster fights, but they forget a couple of things. One, that having Kaiju battles on screen is expensive. Two, the drama in this show makes the series better than the movies.
As much as I don’t like Kentaro’s character, the addition of Isabel (played by Amber Midthunder) has made his storyline interesting. The idea of changing the timeline opens a new door for the franchise to the point that the movies may not connect to Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. Or, maybe season 3 is all about fixing the timeline they ruined. With the beacon young Lee Shaw put into Titan X becoming active, who knows what’s really going on?
