It's been almost two years but we have once again found ourselves back at Camp Half-Blood. Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 is finally upon us, and that means we get to experience another larger-than-life adventure about gods, demigods, titans, and monsters. And it looks like the second season will be all about the fourth of those entities.
Season 2 is adapting The Sea of Monsters, which shouldn't be surprising to you if you have already watched the first two episodes, as Percy and Annabeth are setting sail across those very seas to find their best friend Grover. The two are hoping to rescue him from whatever creature has taken him to its lair, while also getting themselves in the overall mystery involving Kronos and the Golden Fleece.
Speaking of the first two episodes, they have absolutely started the series' sophomore offering on a high. But when can we expect the next installment?
Here's when Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 episode 3 comes out on Disney Plus
Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 episode 3, titled "We Board the Princess Andromeda", is released on Disney Plus next Wednesday, December 17, at 12:00 a.m. PT, 3:00 a.m. ET, 1:00 a.m. MT, and 2:00 a.m. CT. Although the first two episodes of the season were released together, the show will now revert to the typical weekly format, meaning that only one episode will release each Wednesday through to the finale on January 21.
If you've just watched the first two episodes, chances are that you are already feeling a little impantient for the next installment. It's understandable because the second season has gotten off to such a strong start that we are also chomping at the bit to see the next episode. And it goes without saying that it's going to be a big one.

With Percy, Annabeth and Tyson officially setting off on their mission to cross the Sea of Monsters and rescue Grover, the season is just getting started. We know that Percy, Annabeth, and Grover are great on Quests together, so we can't wait to see how Tyson plays into that and affects the dynamic.
Speaking of dynamics, the relationship between Percy and Annabeth is significantly different from what we saw in the first season. That year apart has been difficult for both of them, but it's unclear if all the change that Annabeth underwent was actually something she considered helpful long-term. We know that she lives for the adventures of the life of a demigod and she's definitely going to get those adventures this season.
The Sea of Monsters is going to be a thrill-ride for the ages. From the snippers that we've seen so far, alongside Grover's sheer terror at the whole situation, Percy Jackson's most ambitious adventure is no doubt going to be an emotional rollercoaster. And you can rest assured that fans of the show are ready for that.
With that, we have just one question: Is it next Wednesday yet?!
