It's almost Valentine's Day! Love is in the air... and so are terrible choices in Star Trek couples.

10. Lwaxana Troi and Odo (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)

Lwaxana Troi, the galaxy's most flamboyant, wig-changing, mind-reading ambassador of love, decides that Odo, the grumpy, shape-shifting security chief who prefers the company of his own goo over people, is her next great romance. It's like pairing a glittering disco ball with a very serious potato, honestly.

Their coupling in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was less about star-crossed lovers and more about crossing wires in a comedic experiment. Lwaxana, ever the extrovert, pursues Odo with the subtlety of a Klingon at a diplomacy conference, while Odo squirms under the spotlight like a cat in a bathtub. It's the intergalactic version of watching someone's aunt flirt with the waiter at a family dinner - entertaining, sure, but you can't help but cringe and die a little on the inside.

Now, why did this duo land on the "most disliked couples" list, even if at the bottom? Well, it's not because they didn't give us some laughs or tender moments. Remember the scene where Lwaxana helps Odo maintain his dignity by turning her dress into a puddle for him to melt into? Pure comedy gold mixed with a dash of sweetness. But their relationship felt more like a quirky side quest than a believable love story. We tuned in for phaser battles and space politics, not to watch Odo navigate the complexities of romance with someone who probably attends more weddings in a month than he does security breaches.

In the end, Lwaxana and Odo were like mixing pickles with ice cream: interesting for a moment, but not something you'd want to experience over and over.
