10. Kirk and Spock from (Star Trek)

Ah, my faves.

One's a human who leaps before he looks, a true daredevil captain of the starship Enterprise, and the other's a Vulcan with ears as sharp as his logic, who'd rather raise an eyebrow than his voice.

Together, Kirk and Spock are like the cosmic version of peanut butter and jelly - a combination so out of this world, it's no wonder they've become the ultimate spacefaring besties. What makes them stand out isn't just their knack for getting out of sticky intergalactic situations, but how their friendship shows us that even the most different beings can form an unbreakable bond. They're the dynamic duo that taught us it's okay to embrace our feelings and our smarts, making them legends in the sci-fi universe.

Why are Kirk and Spock my absolute favorites, though? Because they're the perfect reminder that friendship doesn't always mean agreeing on everything.

These two might bicker like an old married couple, with Kirk jumping headfirst into trouble and Spock calmly pointing out the illogical parts of his plan, but when push comes to shove, they always have each other's backs. Their adventures through the final frontier are more than just space battles and alien encounters - they're a journey of mutual respect, understanding, and learning from each other's wildly different perspectives. In a galaxy full of aliens, time loops, and the threat of an occasional tribble infestation, Kirk and Spock show us that the most valuable thing in the universe is having a friend who complements your own kind of crazy.

Honorable mention: Michael Patterson and Camila Domingues (Bam Smack Pow)

Yep, we are a pretty iconic bestie duo if I may be honest.

He's Irish, I'm Brazilian. He's the BSP Editor and DC/Arrowverse expert, I'm its Staff Writer and Marvel/Sci-Fi goddess. We live on two different continents and work in different time zones, but we are constantly talking behind the scenes of every article we write and brainstorming together. While we are both very similarly nerdy and we seem to literally always be thinking about the same thing or topic to the point that it gets slightly eerie, we do have our differences and they complement each other very well, and it's the reason the site has quite the variety of topics and opinionated voices.

While we are most definitely not world-famous or have helped shape generations of besties (at least not yet), we are part of what makes our incredibly creative team tick and help deliver some of the coolest angles on our favorite topics. We are also an example of how a 6-hour time difference and living 3,112.97 miles apart means literally nothing if your friendship bond is this strong.

So here's to us and every bestie duo, trio, or group out there. Keep empowering and cheering for each other - the world is made better by all of our powers combined.
