“Ms. Marvel is the new Iron Man and Iman Vellani is Robert Downey Jr.” is the title of an article written after The Marvel was released. Within the article, the writer goes on to discuss Kamala Khan’s importance to the Marvel movie franchise. This remains true, but it’s more than that. Kamala is the future of everything Marvel Studios has coming up. That includes Disney Plus.

Marvel and Disney knew what they were doing when they cast Iman Vellani. She wasn’t just a good performer. Iman was part of comic book culture. She loves Marvel comics and Kamala Khan. Her enthusiasm for what she does shines whenever she talks about her role. That’s why she’s crucial to the future of The Avengers and more. 

The Marvels didn’t do well at the box office, but that won’t matter. When it premieres on Disney Plus, the streaming numbers will vastly improve and people will regret not seeing it in theaters. It’s a wonderful movie that shows the potential of Kamala’s future. Not only is she someone who can fight for the people of New Jersey. She’s more than capable of battling cosmic threats. If that doesn’t sound like a superhero leading person, I don’t know what does.
