In most fiction projects, there’s always a character that stands out. Someone that people know even if they’ve never seen or read the source material. In Star Wars, it started with Darth Vader Han Solo, and Princess Leia. Those characters are still among the most recognizable, but Ahsoka Tano is slowly taking the reins from them.
Ahsoka Tano made her first appearance long before Disney Plus debuted. People got to see her become a bad-@$$ fighter. Despite not being a Jedi, Ahsoka wields two Lightsabers with grace, ruthlessness, and creativity rarely seen. Her popularity isn’t just about her fighting skills. Ahsoka's evolution from stubborn and impulsive to calculated is the reason her show went from a limited series to getting a second season.
Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mandalorian are both great stars in the Star Wars universe. But Ahsoka is the future. Look at her as the stepping stone for future characters. She’s so good that she’ll bring attention to everyone she’s around. She will continue to evolve as a character meaning her teammates and friends will also. Plus, her enemies will come out looking good just by holding their own. She's the perfect character to bring a new and younger audience to the Star Wars franchise. Something that's needed in any company.
