For a secondary character to get a spin-off, they must be exceptional. A company won't put money behind someone they don't have faith in. That means the character and the performer have to be profitable. That’s where the great Peggy Carter comes in.

After her unforgettable performance in Captain America: The First Avenger, fans wanted more. Her ABC TV show Agent Carter was a brilliant idea. We got to see what she did after World War II. Despite being a well-liked program, Agent Carter only lasted two seasons. Thankfully, you can always go to Disney Plus and rewatch the series and the episodes never get old.

Agent Carter’s cancellation didn’t stop Marvel from putting Hayley Atwell in shows and movies. Peggy Carter popped up in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Ant-Man. Her greatest achievement in the MCU came during the Disney Plus exclusive What if…? This is where she played Captain Carter. Fans saw what would happen if she took Super Soldier Serum. Viewers loved it so much that a live-action Captain Carter appeared in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness.

Hayley Atwell appears in season 2 of What if…? as well. Hopefully, there are plans for more of her. She’s one of the few perfect characters in the MCU. If that happens, don’t be surprised when she’s higher on this list.
