Hawkeye is the most underrated person on the Avengers roster. He doesn’t throw lightning or throw cars or have a cool suit of armor. All he has is his bow and arrows, and he never misses a shot. No matter what people think of him, he’s always been important to the team.
Clint Barton is the guy who always puts the needs of the many ahead of his own. The problem was he was outshined by his teammates. Thankfully he was given a chance to shine in Hawkeye. Not only that, Disney Plus introduced a future Avenger.
Like Clint Barton, it’s doubtful people appreciated what Hawkeye was. First, Kate Bishop was introduced. Her appearance was an audition to see how she’d be received by the world. Thankfully, she was loved. It's the reason Kamala went to her first at the end of The Marvels. Second, it served as a Christmas project. Something that people never get tired of. That will lead people to stream that whenever the holiday seasons roll around. When Kate eventually becomes a more popular character, people will go back to Hawkeye to see how it started.
It started with Clint Barton, but it will continue on with Kate Bishop.
