3 anime to watch in 2024 (and 2 to skip)

SKIP: The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse Part 1
Release Date: Jan. 31
While The Seven Deadly Sins started as an anime many regarded as very entertaining and funny to watch, sadly, the anime didn't age well over time.
Be it because of the decline in animation quality or the strange storytelling that left a sour taste in some viewers' mouths, the number of fans watching this show has decreased exponentially over the years. So much so that we honestly don't think the upcoming installment, The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse Part 1 won't be worth the watch.
Aside from the anime's current reputation, we worry that the story of Part 1 won't be as strong as in previous seasons the anime was. In previous seasons, our protagonist, Meliodas, had to get the band back together to get ready for a nasty war between opposing sides. However, in Four Knights of the Apocalypse Part 1, Percival, this installment's protagonist, experiences different things.
Here's a brief rundown of what you can expect (via IMDb):
"A new generation of adventurers comes together to change the world, as a prophecy states. But will they bring good or destruction?"
Check out the official trailer for the title, too.
Maybe the anime has outgrown the glaring issues its had for quite some time now. Maybe not. Either way, it might be best to keep your expectations on the lower side until you give it a watch on Netflix.
