Killian talks Emma down from crushing Merida's heart
Season 5 episode 1: After Emma becomes the Dark One, she almost crushes Merida's heart with Rumple's voice in her head. Killian and her family and friends show up just in time, but it's a real struggle and test for her because she doesn't let her go right away. I think this scene is so important because it really shows just how much Killian cares for Emma. He's proved it many times, but this one stands out to me.
He knows what she's saying aren't coming from her even though at this point he doesn't know about the voice of Rumple in her head. He was the one she listened to. He stands by her and knows she can overcome her demons. And at that moment thanks to him, she does. The way poor Emma falls exhausted in his arms just had me wanting to give her a hug too.
Proposal No. 1
Season 6 episode 13: Don't get me wrong, I love this scene! The way I was screaming at the TV the very first time I saw it? OMG! Though the reason it ranks a little lower on the list is because it had the same tone as the first date. The beautiful moment was unfortunately overshadowed by the fact that Killian was keeping it a secret that he's the one who murdered Emma's grandfather. Aka David's dad. But, the moment Killian decides to propose, his face changes from anguish to love and I love the way Colin O'Donoghue played that out. It's so heartfelt and genuine, and they're both so happy. At least Killian is for a moment.
Emma gives up her powers to save Killian
Season 3 episode 20: After Zelena curses his lips when Killian declares his love for Emma, they're faced with an ultimatum - kiss him and strip her powers, or let Killian drown. Of course Emma wasn't going to allow for this, and ends up giving up her powers to save him. That means the strongest magical user with light magic can't go up against Zelena now.
But she definitely wasn't going to let Killian die. The worry on Emma's face is real. I think this was an important moment because we get a glimpse through Emma's walls and how she really feels about Killian. And we thought that would be the closest our beloved captain would come to death. We had no idea what season 5 had in store for us.
