4 MCU characters who definitely won't be back in Phase Five

The God of Thunder is one of the rare few MCU veterans who we know will return. His last comeback in Phase Four's Thor: Love and Thunder confirmed as much in the end credits, while various reports and rumors have all-but-confirmed that Thor 5 is indeed happening. So it's only a matter of when we will see Chris Hemsworth's protector of Asgard again.

The answer to that when question probably isn't as complicated as it seems. The unfortunate part of the straightforward answer, however, is that it won't be in Phase Five. We might have been able to say otherwise if Loki had opted to feature a cameo from the character, but that didn't happen, and looking at the phase's remaining titles, there aren't any films or TV shows that he could believably return in.

The good news is that he will be back during the Multiverse Saga. No that hasn't been officially confirmed yet and we don't yet know if Thor 5 will be part of Phase Six, but we do know that there are two Avengers movies on the horizon in the latter phase. Thor is one of the few remaining original Avengers left, so you can rest assured that he will be there wield his axe and / or hammer in Avengers 5 and Avengers: Secret Wars.

It will be a bit of a wait for his return, but the God of Thunder is the one character on this list who we know we will see back in the world of MCU sooner rather than later.
