To say 2023 was a great year for gaming would be an understatement. Last year saw the release of multiple acclaimed titles such as Baldur's Gate 3, Alan Wake 2, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2. It didn't matter if you were a fan of PC Gaming, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo, there was something out there for everyone.

Now that 2024 is already here it's time to see if it can surpass the heights reached by its predecessor. But before we do so, it's important to note some release dates that we're about to discuss could be subject to change and a few unannounced games can still make their way into this year. So with that in mind, here are the most anticipated games that 2024 has to offer so far:

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

It's been a really long time ever since Ubisoft released the last game in the Prince of Persia franchise. (Fourteen years to be precise, but who's counting?). So after Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was revealed, players had a good reason to be both excited and a little bit worried at the same time.

Why would the 3D open environments that have become a staple of the series be dropped in favor of 2.5D levels? Was Ubisoft making the game out of love or just to earn some quick cash using the name of a well-known franchise? Well, fear not since it appears Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is shaping up to be a memorable, yet incredibly difficult adventure that will kick off 2024 with a bang.

The good news is that players won't have to wait long to get their hands on this Metroidvania-like adventure. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is set to release on January 15, 2024, on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.
