9 video games to look forward to in 2024
Dragon's Dogma 2
Back in 2012, Capcom released Dragon's Dogma to great critical acclaim. So to finally get its long-awaited sequel twelve years later feels like a dream come true.
Set in a fantasy world where dragons, cyclops, and magic are real, Dragon's Dogma 2 is an action RPG that aims to give players a lot of freedom in all aspects of the game. Want to create your unique character? Go for it! Want to fight a beast face-to-face or skip the encounter altogether by taking advantage of your surroundings? You can do either one of them. Want to choose between playing as a warrior, a thief, a sorcerer, or a sword fighter? Well, luckily for you, those are the four different classes the game has to offer. A lot of things are left for the player to handle in their own unique way.
While it might be a letdown there's no multiplayer mode present in Dragon's Dogma 2 (unlike its predecessor), it seems the game is shaping up to best the original in every way possible. Look no further than the game's new map, which is four times larger this time around.
Fortunately, we don't have to wait long before we finally play Capcom's highly anticipated game. Dragon's Dogma 2 will be released on March 22, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice took the world by storm when it was released back in 2017. Its dark world, intriguing psychological themes, and jaw-dropping performances made it a hit with critics and fans alike. It's a tough act to follow, but Ninja Theory is certainly up for the task.
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II looks phenomenal so far, both in graphical fidelity and gameplay mechanics. Besides, it's no secret the game will be bigger in scope thanks to Microsoft's acquisition of its development studio. If there weren't enough compliments to praise the first game, we can't wait to see where the sequel takes us next.
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has a 2024 release window and it will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
